Mediocre
The room was dirty, old and disgusting. It was a genuine waste of money I would have gladly stayed elsewhere. The staff was rude and irritating and the hotel is far below 3 stars in my honest opinion. AVOID...

Excellent
This old Palm springs stand by is a little pricey but always a special experience. Beautiful grounds with rooms in that Palm Springs recency style. Nice bar and restaurant too.
We chose this hotel for our wedding/honeymoon. We thought there would be a spot on the 13 acres of gardens to hold our small (5 person) and brief (10 minute) ceremony; we found out they would charge us a $1500-$2000 facility fee. The manager would ...

We chose the Parker for our wedding/honeymoon, thinking we'd be able to hold our small 5-person 10-minute ceremony somewhere on their 13 acres of gardens during the slowest month of the desert hotel season (August). Wrong. Their surly catering man

My wife and i have three lovely boys. That being said we needed some time to get away from it all. It was my birthday and we really didn't have much time to getaway too far. So, we looked to the desert to heat things up for the evening. We arrived at the Parker's right around check in time (3p.m.) tossed the keys to the valet grabbed our bag (1) from the Mercedes and proceeded to check in. Lovely young girl checked us in, in record time. We proceeded to our room walking through the sand path that led us to our room. The building was very interesting with two story red velvet drapes that greet you upon entering the facility. Once inside our room I felt very much at home. Your standard suite with king size bed, quirky pics, a bottle of pelegrino, marble bathroom (with a great shower), and a pretty small TV (which really didn't matter cause we weren't going to be watching too much TV). We had made spa reservations at the the Palm Spring Yacht Club or PSYC for short. So we decided to head down to the lobby grab a drink at the bar before heading over to the spa. The spa was absolutely amazing. Very Clean, the staff very professional. I will admit though that everyone appeared a bit strange to me not in a bad way though. Just maybe quirky or eccentric if you will. As we began to leave the spa we did over hear someone complaining about something ($20 something that apparently had this woman up in arms). We went for a swim outside at one of the pools by the tennis cts friendly staff at the pool eager to get us something even though they have been closed for 10 minutes already. We ate at Mr. Parkers. The food here was absolutely amazing. I really can't say enough about it. The staff was amazing. to summarize our experience it was expensive, it is not a kid friendly place!, great spa experience, great food. goods times all the way around. i will definitely go back. Again it is expensive, it is eccentric, it's not the Ritz, but, it's really worth it.

This is the worst experience I've had in many years. The management is absolutely indifferent to individual needs. Indeed, they are there to milk the customers. If you want service and consideration, go to a Trader Joe's and get one of their free snacks at the back of the store.
In particular: (a) You have to use their Valet Parking. That puts a level of difficulty in escaping the place to get a reasonable meal or a snack. My friend got his car scratched, BTW. (b) At $330/room, there's no complimentary coffee or the hint of a continental breakfast. They tell you there's free morning coffee, but they don't tell you that you have to order it the night before, and have room service bring it to your room with your wake-up call. When I explained that I wanted neither a wake-up call nor room service, they told me, in a nice way, to buzz off. Then when I purchased a cup of coffee, with two promised refills, I couldn't get them to honor even one refill by the afternoon of that day. (c) You get one bottle of water for your room the first day, and none thereafter. It was 113F in Palm Springs when we went. (d) Everything is pricey, with no marginal increase in quality or taste. (e) The Valet Service delivered my luggage to the wrong room.

Bad from the very start.Luggages were taken from the car by the attendant and were delivered to the wrong room.Management would not admit to their mistake.
Room amenities were not well organized. The towels were stacked up on a chair, with no other place to store.Chairs in the room were very uncomfortable.
The wedding dinner ,with horrendous charges per person, was not well organized.Additional tables and chairs were brought in to accommodate the guests waiting to be seated. The reason given was:there was a miscommunication between the manager and her staff.
My car parked (valet) by the attendant, was brought back ,with the front right side damaged. An insurance claim form was filled by the attendant supervisor. An attempt to contact the insurance carrier was not successful:I ran into a recording. Left a message. No response.

$18 hamburgers (and little else to choose from), morning coffee-to-go for $4.50, and snotty staff. The bathroom tile was shattered (painful), wallpaper was coming off, and the room cost nearly $200, with no coffee machine or water available without charge. I don't mind paying a lot of money, but the quality of service has to match the price. The wall hangings were ridiculous. I don't know how this is a five-star hotel.
