Park Plaza Hotel Winter Park

I really hate to write this review for fear that everyone will discover this place. The owners and staff have given a great deal of thought regarding little things to do for their guests. From the delivered breakfast to the moments notice retrieval of your car, this charming, old world, circa 1926, beauty is spotless. Have fun stepping back into the past and enjoying a great night's sleep.

If you like crowds, micro-waved breakfast 'foods', national chain 'ambiance' and earning points towards some sort of 'someday' trip to Tahiti.... (or a nifty travel alarm clock).....The Park Plaza Hotel in Winter Park, Florida is NOT FOR YOU!

However.....if being treating like you are the most important person lucky enough to experience the owner's gracious and loving hospitality....and won't let the occasional train whistle or the 'below your balcony' midnight revelry (imagine...staying in the heart of a REAL small town..so close to all that plastic and 'imagineering')...trouble your wayfaring soul....then BOOK A ROOM NOW & KNOW....you will be forever changed by 'paying a little extra' for a place Jimmy Buffett once called...'my home away from home'.

Very quaint, a bit pricy for what it is but worth it for the great location.

Staff very friendly, great in room continental breakfast.

B&B atmosphere. Noise from train passing by and hall traffic.

Only drawback, husband is 6'2" and had a difficult time remembering to duck to get into bathroom doorway, an unpleasant stay for him after hitting his head a few times!
