I had high hopes upon viewing and entering the hotel. The hotel itself is next to a "walking mall" in the downtown area. The building seemed newly renovated.

My check in took far longer than I am use to, but I did not stress. It wasn't until I encountered the manager that the problems really started. He was rude to me, he was rude to his employees, and I would not have guessed he was capable of managing a hotel. The manager had little to no social skills and seemed to have even less business sense.

My room was fairly clean and I did like the new feeling of the lobby. The hotel restaurant was nice. I would only recommend this hotel to anyone if there is a change in management or the current management wises up.

I stayed at the Park Plaza Hotel in Helena Montana for a one night stay and paid by credit card. When I got the bill, I was charged for two nights, not one. I contacted them only to be told that my bill needed to be sent to there corporate office for review and that they couldn’t do a refund to my credit card, this was over a month ago. If I was half as incompetent in my job, I wouldn’t have a job. Not to mention that their service was poor at best and I got a dirty room to boot. So you be the judge if you want to stay there.

It was inconvenient to get online to check email. The food was good. People were helpful. It was clean and unmemorable.

The room internet connection kept going down.

All Holiday Inns where have stayed have provided a pleasant experience, plus they are very affordable.

This hotel made me feel welcome: I felt secure there because of their pleasant attitude at check-in, as well as their helpfulness throughout the stay.
