Park Manor Suites is a historic Italian Renaissance style hotel. All suites have complete kitchens and dining areas. The hotel is located in the Banker's Hill area, across the street from Balboa Park, home of the San Diego Zoo, Museum of Art, Old Globe Theatre, and San Diego Bay. Downtown and the Hillcrest area are two minutes away by car.

50 year old with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
I've stayed at Park Manor a couple times and enjoyed myself each time.
It's quiet, in a safe neighborhood in which one can easily walk to restaurants (sit-down and fast food), clubs, shopping and especially the park. I was there in late spring and so all I needed was to open the windows and let San Diego's usual air warm and cool the room.
The rooftop brunch was delicious and a great start to my days. I found the service to be professional and unobtrusive. I recommend this hotel as a great alternative to cookie-cutter national chain hotel/motels.
