Good
Conveniently located right off of business 321, this is a wonderful reception location. Grand ballrooms to suit your guest count. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure that everything is taken care of properly.

After my second night here, I need to inform all readers how angry I and the team are regarding this hotel. For your edification, I would like to give further detail regarding the complaints. The interior of the bedrooms are old, dirty, dusty, and bug-ridden (cockroaches, large spiders and silver-fish, are the insects we CAN see. I hate to think what we cant.) You cannot see this level of filth in pictures. The air conditioners (window units) are blowing dust continually which suggests the filters are never replaced. Working from the rooms therefore cannot be done without becoming ill.
The extremely small bathrooms are full of mildew and although the maid service clean them daily, they are still dirty. The towels are probably the cheapest quality available and to make matters worse, they are also not properly laundered. (ie: Foreign hairs not belonging to you on a clean towel.) As you know there is no restaurant in the hotel (they provide a very anemic/pathetic continental breakfast daily). The restaurant across the street is a dive. No one will go back for a second meal.
We are literally miles from any other restaurants or grocery stores, but the lack of refrigerators on microwaves does not allow buying food for the week. Because of the quality of the hotel and therefore the low pricing of rooms (ie: specials for $49) the clientele it attracts fits appropriately. I am sure you can imagine the effects of meeting a guest in the lobby where toothless patrons are checking in. The only positive is that the ballroom is sufficient for our needs.
Lots of loud noise coming from outside. After complaining to manager we were told it was a convention going on. Must have been a tobacco convention because all the exits had people standing there smoking. Bottom exits had people sitting in hallways blocking doors.

The Park Inn hotel was a nice enough, but I would have preferred that they did daily maid service instead of just towels and garbage pick up. They also advertised that they were pet friendly and they were not.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the Park Inn Hickory.
I might recommend it to friends.
