Parisian Hotel and Suites

i used to work at this hotel until i couldn't stand it anymore and left. you cannot call me a disgruntled employee because i quit and was not fired....i never once worked a day that i didn't have major complaints....and i couldn't take the heat anymore. the owner doesn't care about anything except collecting money. the hotel is in very shabby condition especially the Geneva hotel.

it looks like a psycho ward chamber. the rooms are dirty, and many of the rooms have chronic bed bug problems. i've seen with my own eyes several customers with swollen, bitten arms or backs, and two had to go to the hospital. the owner knows about this and does not replace the beds or fumigate the hotel he just has his janitor put a bug bomb in the room and hopes it solves the problem which it does not. the hotel is also full of cockroaches. the owner tells guests that they themselves bring them in in their luggage. (this is no joke!!) there are frequently shady characters, drug dealers that hang around in the Geneva and creepy people who live in hostels in the Geneva. there is a maintainence man who is a peeping tom and likes to be on the roof top and look down into windows of bathrooms that have no coverings. its like a non homocidal Norman Bates living on the premesis. Whats worse is the owner knows about this and doesn't care, despite numberous hotel guest complaints.The towels provided are tiny and many times in such ragged condition that most people would use them as rags and not towels. The owner is also quick to steal your security deposit if you stay even 30 minutes past checkout. you are given no advance courtesy call to notify you of checkout, and he hopes you overstay so he can confiscate your deposit. The TVs are old and the remotes rarely work, and they have about six or seven channels only. their is no internet. i have read the reviews posted by others and i can assure you every negative item listed is absolutely true!! My only advice is to never stay here ever. Dont be a sucker!!!!!!

Imagine the worst possible hotel. Well, Parisian Hotel & Suites offers 90% of it. I stayed there in 2004. To start with, I booked it online and did not do any research. When we came, we checked in and got to the room. It was very small for four of us. Immediately, we discovered the bed bugs and complained to the front desk. They moved us to a suite (which is an upgrade), but it was not pretty either:

* The smell is awful;

* There is no central A/C and the one mounted in the wall does not help to control the temperature well;

* The water pressure was extremely weak;

* No complimentary parking, parking on the same block costs $16/night.

* The bath towels were the size of hand towels: no joking.

* The hotel manager is an unhappy lady, who just does not care.

* The whole place is filthy;

* They did some remodeling during our stay so we had to live with the noise in the morning;

* Proudly advertised breakfast is a tray of danish pastries which may be leftovers from a local bakery;

* The building is not soundproof. If somebody slams the door on the floor, you'll hear it. Realistically you may not be able to fall asleep until 2-3 am.

So, considering the smell and the heat, you need to plan your vacation mostly outside of the hotel. This is essentially illegal.

You might also see that there are other hotels on the same block such as Geneva and Haddon Hall. They are as bad as Parisian. I stayed in Haddon Hall, and it is not any better except bed bugs and roaches. Geneva is owned by the owner of Parisian, so go figure.
