I would not recommend this hotel, especially if you're looking for an enjoyable relaxing getaway or holiday. It us 30 min of waiting in a line 0f 25 people to check in. We had to always wait for the elevators becuase there were hordes of crowds.
Don't know how this can be a 4 star hotel. This is a cattle car atmosphere. Took us 20 minutes to check in. Even with 8 elevator banks, we often had to wait for multiple elevators b/c the crowds were so big. Expect to see armies of airline stew

The property well maintained & clean, the staff is professional and of greatest importance to me the rooms are full-sized hotel rooms, not the glorified phone...
45 year old with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
We stayed at this hotel for four nights and it was fine. Not perfect but we got a great rate and it was very convenient to underground transportation and walking distance from shopping and middle of San Francisco.

Great hotel in the heart of everything. Step out the door to the trolley and street cars. You do not need a car here. You can walk everywhere. Rooms comfortable. Normal sounds of a city. Parking your car is $50.00 a day would not rent a car again...
the only thing good about this hotel is the location but even that can be a problem for some people because the noise outside can be heard all the way to the top floors. oh and did i mention the service sucks?!!! =(

I'd rate the lobby as pretty bad. If your a night owl with no place to go because others are sleeping, this isn't the lobby for you. Right now they are doing construction on the second floor up the staircase, so that might be a better place when...
