The front desk manager (ms. Kulp) was fantastic!
This hotel made me feel pampered: I was upgraded to the concierge level, and the amenities were great.

I was extremely pampered, but it is way too expensive for my salary. I guess that's what you get when you let the pricey girl of the group find the hotel in San Francisco for the girls night out.
This hotel made me feel respected: The hotel employees were extremely courteous and did not get in anyone's way (i.e. Ask 'how you are' too much, some pampering, expensive hotels do that).

We tend to stay in local independent hotels.
This hotel made me feel welcome: I was impressed by the warm greeting by the desk staff. Also, we received greetings by the other employees in the hall. Warm greetings by maids when working in rooms were also given.

This last experience was incredibly disappointing. We have never been treated so flippantly by a Marriot staff. We spent a week at this establishment and we were virtually ignored by the entire staff. We will likely not stay at another Renaissance.

It was a fabulous hotel experience over past experiences in other hotels. The location was manageable for our needs and was generally a great time.
This hotel made me feel excited: I felt we got a great deal, the staff helped us plan an event and made me look good as an event planner. The rooms were very comfortable with sunrise views of the city. It was nice to be treated with respect over our 'usual' hotel in San Francisco.
