27 year old man with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

My fiance and I did not have a problem with the hotel itself. It seemed nice enough. We upgraded to receive the free continental breakfast as well as appetizers and cocktails in the evening. First of all, they mislead you by saying complimentary appetizers and cocktails. The food is free but the drinks are not. My biggest gripe with this hotel was the concierge service. They may have been the laziest group I've seen in a long time. Having worked at high end resorts such as the Four Seasons I know what it means to put in just that extra little bit of effort. I called two days prior to our arrival to ask the concierge if she could put together a couple of must see things because we were only in town for the day. When we arrived to the hotel a different concierge handed us a an envelope filled with information. Unfortunately, all that was in there was a map and a few brochures. I could've done that myself. Later in the evening I spoke to her and she asked me if I received the envelope as if she was proud of herself. I asked for directions to a local restaurant. She proceeded to hand me a piece of paper with the address on it. If I knew the city that would be great. But that wasn't what I asked for. I had to go ask the bellman for directions.

Upon checkout we asked the concierge if she would print out directions to our hotel in Napa. She went to the Napa hotel's website and literally printed the page that gave directions from the airport. She couldn't take the time to at least mapquest the two addresses seeing as the airport is nowhere near the hotel. I would have done it myself but internet use cost $5 per 10 minutes. Most hotels these days offer complimentary internet use. My other issue was parking costs. I know that it's insanely expensive in San Francisco. But, when you pull up the sign says $44 public parking. Just below that it reads $44 for guests of the hotel. Why would it cost the guest just as much to park there? I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Nice central located hotel, good service, great view; the thai restaurant was terrific, and a quiet oasis from all downtown traffic. Also good for kids to run around, my two kids loved running around the large conference floors, and going up and down the many escalators, the staffs were fairly friendly. Too bad this is no longer a renaissance hotel, so no longer able to use Marriott points.

33 year old woman with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

Check-in was terrible, the line was so long. Also they don't know how to handle children. The woman was very rude.

The valet service was good, they were very polite and respectful.

I am not likely to return to the Parc 55 Hotel.
I might recommend it to friends.

Their customer service was horrible. I called the hotel prior to our arrival and verified the reservation. However, when we got there the hotel informed as that they are oversold. How can they be oversold if they verified my reservation a day before? They offered no apologies at all . Their poor customer service spoiled our vacation.

I am not likely to return to the Parc 55 Hotel.
I would not recommend it to friends.

I was very dissapointed with this hotel. For a four star hotel, this was certainly not fourt star service. I had booked it on expedia for a one night stay, and, upon arrival was told that the hotel was oversold and therefore i would be moved to the marriot. I was told that this was expedia's policy. I promptly phoned expedia, and was told that this was abseloutely NOT expedia's policy and the hotel should definitely have a confirmed room for me, as they had confirmed the room with expedia. I had to ask for the manager, who, after much back and forth discussion finally was able to get me my room at the Parc 55. He was not at all apolagetic, and, made me out to be the one inconveniencing him. I was actually appalled with this service.
