31 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
We stayed in this hotel in marc 2008, the room they gave us was tiny, was impossible to open the suitcases inside the room, that was bare patch, and the bathroom are so, so old, almost twenty years without improvements, they don't have windows...Also we've been in public restrooms cleaner than our room...
At the recepcion told us they will be chargin 50$ per day for any damage we could make.... and fridge of the room was closed and out of order..
The gereral impresion of the hotel is so dark, and they have music at hihg volume, maybe they suppose that make them more cool...
We were stolen inside the room(1300$), and they tried to avoid to call the police, I had to call them from my room (911), when the police came, the manager tried to avoid take responsibility for security of the room, of caouse, they charge us every call (1,25$ each), even to the police...
Leaving the hotel they charge us 2$ per suitcase, just to take care of them for a few hours...
I truly recommend you not to go to this hotel, you are warned....

Okay
When I was planning my trip to NYC I came to this site looking for a hotel and came upon the Paramount hotel. Almost all of the reviews are negative so I thought, after my trip, I'm going to add my own review. I chose to stay here because I got the...

Horrible
My wife and I laughed when we first entered the room. Our room was very small and the beds are even smaller. We stayed in a standard room (supposedly a double bed but really a twin bed). I am 5'7 and my wife is 5'3'' and we barely barely fit our...

Okay
While in a great location for Broadway plays, the room was just too puny, marginally clean, and extremely awkward to use. The bed is close to the floor, the shower plumbing circa 1930's (constant adjustments needed to maintain water temp) and the...

43 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
The first mistake I made was to book my travel through Expedia. I prepaid for my air fare and hotel. The flight on Jet Blue was outstanding however, when I checked into the hotel with my 71 year old mother, we were floored, litterly! The beds were on the floor! My closet at home was bigger then the entire room. We booked a hotel for double occupancy and there were two beds on the floor with only inches between the beds and the wall.
The KICKER, we checked out, they refused to provide any documentation of our checking out. When attempting to get a refund, Expedia called the hotel and they the hotel said we never checked out.
We went to the Marriot Maruque accross the street, wonderful, big, food, shops, WONDERFUL.

Okay
Don't be misled by the pics of the rooms on the web site! Rooms are tiny, bed sat on floor (no frame). If I spread my arms, I could touch opposite walls. The lobby gives the illusion of a 5-star hotel, the rooms are 2-star. Great if location is...

Okay
My boyfriend and I chose this hotel because it was right in the heart of Times Square and looked cool online. The room was clean, etc. but for an extra 20 dollars we could have stayed at a hotel where the rooms and bathrooms were more spacious and...
