2008 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

I don't even know where to begin. This place is nothing like what they advertise in their web-site!! The room gives you the feeling that you are in a third world country, our toilet was leaking, our shower head broken, the sofa bed was also broken. Outdoors, the pools are dirty, the beach is also dirty, you may not swim in that water due to the high levels of bacteria!!

The room we reserved did not accommodate our family of five, the reservation desk sent us a roll a way after we complained. The sheets and pillow smelled bad. I felt horrible for my 10 year old who slept there, he told us in the morning the the springs from the bed were poking him during the night.

This was a nightmare! no less. It ruined our son's 10 b-day

Check-out is another story to tell. The roll a way they sent, was $40.00. We left after the first night (mandatory to stay or loose your $300.00+) My husband's credit card was charged for TWO nights. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. It is filthy, and their bungalows are run down with furniture that belongs in a cheap motel. I would not have payed to stay in a place like this had I seen a REAL picture of what this really IS, it appears they may have used photoshop to enhance what they want this place to advertise as.

Beware, this is not an exaggeration. It is everything all the other dissatisfied consumers listed and more.

22 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

I stayed for three nights at Paradise Point. I've traveled many times, and have been to various resorts and spas around the world, so I have a lot to compare to! The resort was nice- great landscaping and a pleasant atmosphere on the bay. I've seen better, but this was definitely up there; I'd give it four stars. The spa was great too- fairly priced, good services, and upscale atmosphere. The only things I would suggest to improve on: The general facility amenities (small gym and locker room, no private hot tubs, not many personal hygeine products in locker rooms, and there seemed to be a lack of water readily available....) and the front desk staff did not seem to be very knowledgeable about services, But, these are both minor, correctable things- so I'd give the spa 4 stars as well. The hotel ammenities were great: tons of pools so they were never overcrowded, as well as an adult pool (thank god! kids can be so noisy!), beach fronts, on property activities, and a marina with rentals. Again, four stars. The main problems with Paradise Point were the rooms and the restaurants, which were both barely three stars. The restaurants had a limited menu selection, were very overpriced relative to the quality (you expevt to pay more at resorts, but this food was not great!), and the food was on the downside of mediocre. The rooms were SO bad compared to everything else! They smelled awful, and even if they do blame it on the sea air, get an air freshener! there was no lotion and only one small bar of soap provided, our front door stuck, and most of all, the room's overall quality was comprable to a tropical themed Motel 6. Icky carpets, no room service, cheap sheets, and stale stuffy air. Then again, at a place like this you don't spend much time in your room! To sum it up:great resort, poor rooms. I would return for a quick spa weekend with the girls, but I would definitely not plan a whole trip around it.

44 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

Luckily, my family had to stay there for only one night!

Upon arrival we were greeted by a very nice young lady who surprised us with a non-optional $22 parking fee. Well, I thought, so many businesses practice these “hidden fees” policy that this one should not bother us.

The interior of our bungalows was very disappointing to us. At almost $400 per night they looked like cheap motel rooms. Patio door lock was broken. When I called the front desk, they promised to send someone to fix it, but they never did.

At night, as we were getting ready to go to sleep, we discovered that we have only one rollaway bed, although we asked for 2 (1 in each room); the other room had a regular sofa. Once again I called the front desk, but at 11 pm they don’t pick up their phones. I tried twice, waited for about 15 minutes each, but there was no answer. At that point I called the maid services. I complained about not having the linens and the blankets for extra beds, she assured me that she will deliver them to our rooms. Nobody delivered anything to our rooms. We used our jackets as blankets that night.

Oh, yes, there was a dirty empty water bottle in our rollaway sofa bed, which flew across the room, when we opened the bed.

As we were checking out, I described our night adventures to a girl at the counter. With a very sweet smile she wrote everything down in a computer, promising that a manager will call. Guess what? The manager did not call.

I will never stay at this resort again, nor will I ever recommend it to anyone.

42 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

I drove four hours to Paradise point. I waited 15 min to get to the front desk to find out if I did not have a reservation I had to phone to get one. Priscilla Garcia told me I could not get a room and she would not help me.Once I obtained one I was told I had to go back to the end of the line. After waiting 45 min I was told I could not get into my room for another two hrs and my money was not refundable. I have stayed here 30+ times and am still in shock how I was treated.

Beware of hidden parking fees, a $22.00 non-optional cost was explained to us on our arrival...we were a bit surprised! The barefoot grill food was horrible, drinks were $13.00 for a white russian that tasted like chocolate milk, absolutely no alcohol. All of the food was way overpriced, for instance a hot dog at the pool for a mere $8.00

Staff was nice, rooms were clean but the bed was very uncomfortable.
