We just got back from a great stay at the palm pavilion hotel. we booked months in advance and had a minor problem at check in. our room was not ready at the time. the clerk put us in another room for the night and then switched us to the room that i booked. the (entire staff) was very apologetic and made our stay just wonderful. everything imaginable is within walking distance. on our next visit to clearwater beach we will definitely stay there again.

Only 100 steps from the white beach of Clearwater! You can't get much closer than that. With two restaurants in crawling distance and a dozen more just 3 blocks away, from casual to pricey, this is the perfect spot to park your car and not move it during your stay.

From drug store, to ice cream shop to steakhouse, convenience store and more, it's all a short stroll from the inn.

In the mood for a carnival atmosphere? The pier is also a short stroll down the beach - weekends bring out the vendors and the music and the people side show to go with it.

The hotel has an observation deck, the perfect place to catch the romantic sunsets with no obstuctions and in peace and quiet. It's better than Key West.

Yes, the rooms are smaller than a grand hotel but it's clean, the bathrooms are remodeled with tile, walk-in shower. The entire staff is friendly, helpful and you feel welcomed. The inn must be solidly built because although it was fully occupied, you could not hear the rooms on either side or above as in some of those luxury chains.

I expected intolerable noise from the live music at the restaurant adjacent but at 11, noise ordinances in effect so no problems.

I made plans for a Clearwater Beach vacation for months, thoroughly researched hotels for a good quiet beachfront hotel, all based on Internet reviews, and picked the Palm Pavilion Inn. When I made my reservation they said they were quiet, away from construction and away from the rowdier end of the beach. My room was to be a king bed with gulf view for $150/night.

When I got to my room, I almost cried at the thought of not being able to get out of my reservation because they say it's non-refundable. I sat there with my guest for 15 minutes wondering if we could endure this for three days, and I decided "no". I went downstairs and asked to cancel my room. The "nonsmoking" room reeked of smoke, as did the dingy hallways. The tiny, tiny room had dirty walls, dirty door, no tub, terrible view of their big noisy restaurant downstairs out of dinky windows, and the overall atmosphere was sickeningly one or two stars. For $150.00/night!

This micro-room wasn't worth even $100 with the crappy dinky beach view. I left without having anywhere else to go. My friend and I envisioned a quiet sleepy "old Florida" atmosphere, and Clearwater Beach isn't it. It’s much more like Daytona. So anyway, do not have high expectations of this hotel. If grungy and gritty is your preferred atmosphere for ridiculous prices, Palm Pavilion is for you.

This is a great and comfortable inn! It has great service! It's right on the beach. It's affordable and they have great music -- especially when 'Brotherhood' is there!
