What a wonderful surprise. Very rarely do you actually get what you read about. We were so pleased with this resort that we are definitely planning on a return visit next year.

Everything you could want. Beautiful heated pool, large enough to accommodate a large group of people. Great scenery, a wonderful staff of people who are committed to making your stay as comfortable as possible. Lounge pool side and listen to live music, the Tiki bar group walks around to take drink and food orders and then delivers it, so you never even have to get up if you don't want to.

The beach is beautiful and clean and there is always a list of activities if you decide you want something different. The evenings are wonderful and the new restaurant is great. You could enjoy the resort, or travel a short distance to 5 star restaurants and shopping. There really is so much to do in this area. The resort also has activities for the kids during the day. The accommodations are wonderful, and all new beds added to each room is wonderful. You won't be disappointed.

This is a resort and a timeshare. It's beautiful, spacious, clean and on a strip with other well known hotels, including a Four Seasons.

If you look hard enough, you can find fault with anything, but this hotel/timeshare resort should more than satisfy, unless you are Donald Trump who stays at resorts costing $1,000 a night, like other celebrities.

I hear some people complain about salespeople trying to make you buy something. Here's what I have to say about that:

Please spare me! Sit through a beautiful breakfast or lunch that is fully paid for; a check for $75.00 will be given to you for sitting through the yummy meal sitting right on the Marina in a top restaurant.

Then, for the Love of God, learn to say "No". Get up from the table, tell them thank you for the lovely meal but tell them that you aren’t interested.

It's supposed to be a one hour talk at the restaurant. After that hour, walk away. There are no shackles on your feet, you're free to leave, nobody is going to pursue you if you emphatically say "Not for me".

A wishy-washy "Well we'll think about it" invites the salesperson to call you, they think you're "Thinking About It"!

Just assert yourself, there are no spells that the employees can cast on you to make you stay with them longer than you want to.

I rated The Palm Beach Resorts Hotel an 8, although it could have been a 9. We've stayed there several times to visit my mother in West Palm. The hotel is immaculate, the suites (rooms) are huge, the furniture and bathroom look like they belong in Architectural Digest.

It is only a two minute drive, or walk, to Sailfish Marina, a five star restaurant that is better than any I've eaten at in Manhattan, where I lived. The hotel is in the process of opening another restaurant, one well known on the Marina that had extensive damage during the last hurricane. This restaurant will be part of the hotel, and when we were there in January, it was to be completed by March.

Not only that, but you would be a short drive to several Shopping Malls, two of which are totally upscale with Louis Vuitton and other designer boutiques in it. Renowned "City Plaza" is not far away.

The hotel itself sits on the beach. Hint: buy an inexpensive folding chair at Wal-Mart and use that to sit on at the beach, otherwise, rentals are pricy. All chairs at the pool, of course, are free. The pool is surrounded with about four or five exotic birds in cages, some which talk! The Tiki bar makes incredible mixed drinks, or if you want something special, they'll make it for you, too! Hungry at night for something light, go to the Tiki Bar for a delicious snack.

Every day there is a singer with microphone by the pool, no CDs over a loud speaker system, if so rarely. It's incredible sitting with a cool drink, by a heated pool and see/listen the entertainer with an island beat.

Why did I rave like this? I have nothing to do with the hotel (staff, advertising, or promotion). I simply want to say it deserves 4 or 5 stars, not two.

We live very nicely in NY, in a home that is worth approximately a million dollars. I say that because I'd like the same standard of living when I travel. We visit West Palm Beach several times a year to visit my husband's mother.

The location is incredible, right on the beach. It is a short drive to five-star restaurants.

It's immaculate, the staff is courteous, every day on the bulletin board are different activities and movies. A new restaurant is opening, may be open now. It's a waterfront restaurant which is very famous and upscale and they're locating to the Palm Beach Shores property because the hurricane caused it much damage. I'm not surprised, it is and has been one of the top restaurants in West Palm.

Believe me, after owning a Caribbean resort, once designated a Resort of International Distinction by RCI, The Palm Beach Shores resort is in a class by itself, and we've traveled, even to what Good Housekeeping calls The Best Family Resort "Smugglers Notch in Vermont".

As far as the beach chairs being expensive, keep in mind the pool chairs are free. The beach chairs have a charge to keep the riff-raff off the pristine beach where you are. Palm Beach IS Palm Beach because it's exclusive.

It blows away all the others, and I swear this on the Bible.

It was very clean, and their staff was very friendly. However, they could have given me more information on what is available in the general area.
