Clean, comfortable rooms.Too smoky at times. Air filtration in the casino could be better. Palace Station is a great off-strip hotel and casino. Prices for everything are reasonable and are a good value.

Good
The price was reasonable to its star rating. It wasn't too shabby, but less traumatic than the other hotels in the vicinity. It just had an old look to it. Didn't feel like Vegas. If you want a really inexpensive yet comfortable stay this would be an ...

Okay
The casino was ok.Bellman was perfunctory. If you are in the low price (courtyard) rooms, you will have white a hike to get there and a challenge to not get lost.

Cheap tables to play roulette at.The staff couldn't get their own hotel prices correct when I wanted to stay another night. Good location, not far from the strip.

Excellent
Great place to stay; nice and quiet; about 1/2 mile off of the strip; free shuttle service to the airport and places on the strip; many places to eat in the hotel and across the street; breakfast was only $1.99 for bacon, eggs, hash browns, and...
73 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
I stay at the Station Casino hotel often. The rooms are clean and well taken care of. The Garden rooms are not as pleasant as the Tower and I prefer not to book them. The prices are excellent. They have very good shuttle service to other locations. They have great restaurants at good prices.
I am very likely
to return to the Palace Station Hotel and Casino.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

31 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
I didn't have reservations for any hotel and left from Southern California on Friday morning and arrived in the afternoon.
I first went to Circus Circus to stay at a room there in the tower, and after I got there, there was a very big line of people checking in with there kids and the line moved very slowly. So slow that after 20 minutes in line, I left to look for something else. I drove down the strip and ended up at Palace Station.
I pulled in the driveway and found parking without a problem and didn't have to look for a space to park. I walked into the casino and the signs near the roof guided me to the hotel check-in area. When I got there, there was only one other person in front of me so I only waited like 3-4 min to talk to the front desk clerk. He was polite and asked "If he can help me" I told him I drove in from California and I needed a room to get some rest because I was tired. He asked what kind of room and I told him "the least inexpensive" so he gave me a room in the manor or gardens (something like that).
These rooms are not in the main hotel tower but kinda closer to the parking garage. Because it was a Friday night, I paid $119.00+tax (Friday and Sat. are the most expensive days to check into any Las Vegas hotel) I got into my room and looked around, everything was clean and untouched, the lighting was good and the air conditioner/heater worked great. I looked through the menu for room service and was amazed at the high prices for basic products ($6.00 for 1 glass of juice, $3.00 for a glass of soda, $150 for a half bar (6 bottles of liquor with mixer and ice, not the full size bottles, and food to my door was $5-$10 more then normal plus you have to tip (16% of the total bill).
Because I was on a budget, I ate inside the casino at the Grand Café, one of many places to eat inside there, I got a steak and potato, green beans and bread rolls for like $10 and the lady who served me was nice and kept my soda full (I tipped her $3.00) The steak was great and I was full after I finished eating. There is also a Burger King inside the casino if you want fast food and a Pasta eatery and a more expensive steak and lobster place plus a $6.95 buffet.
It was what I expected and I was satisfied overall with the hotel and casino. There was a little bit of noise outside my room, but I was near the entrance to the room from outside the casino (where you have a choice of making a left, right or heading straight to your room)
Other than that, I enjoyed my rest, Sunday through Thursday are the money saving days (like $39), so book on these days and save.
