60 year old woman with a economy budget, traveling for leisure

This is the second stay at the Palace Station.... we love staying there and had a room in the courtyard area, which we liked very much. The room was clean and when asking for service of more linens, they were more than generous. We also enjoyed eating at their feast buffet, as the price is the best, and with your boarding pass you get one dollar off per person. This is our 10 or 12th trip to las vegas and we have stayed at other hotels in center strip, and still prefer to stay at Palace Station. They also have a shuttle to and from the airport and also to the strip. Cannot beat having that kind of transportation. They also offer bingo, which many casinos do not. The pools also are a short distance from the courtyard rooms.

All the staff was very friendly.

As for any negatives... perhaps a few, but the positives surely outweigh the negatives for us. The courtyard rooms are somewhat small and only have a shower and no tub. The room size is not an issue, just sleeping there. Full size beds in a double room, queen size would have been a plus, but doubt any budget hotels have queens in a double room. Also, it is a little off the strip, but a 24-hour ticket on the city bus is available for 5 dollars a day....

All in all, I would recommend Palace Station as a place to stay, unless you have your eyes on someplace ritzy, and then you will be disappointed, but you cannot beat the bargain.

I am very likely to return to the Palace Station Hotel and Casino.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

no refrig in room, bogus hotel service fee that we had no clue about, i guess it must be 5 star hotel, long hair under omelet, high food prices, when at the brunch buffet it didnt even have all the food out until an hour later, so we got full and all the other new food starts coming out, long walk from car to room(like 10 minutes with stairs, no elevator in portions of hotel), slow drink service, unfriendly staff(it is a local place and not to keen on smiling or greeting), so if u are traveling thousands of miles for a getaway dont go here,

I wont and its too bad for them because i travel to vegas about 5 times annual,

its back to Main street for me which is what I would reccommend.

I liked everything about...accept the race and sports book was kind of old-school--the TV's are really small and they are mounted so high in the air it is hard to see the games. I like the throw-back feeling of the place. I had a great time. I even won 1000 quarters on their wheel of fortune. I would have even had a better time if the Padres would have won:p

The hotel was great and in a good location just off the strip. The main restaurant food was bad but the rest of the restaurants were good. The rooms were nice but the beds are really soft. I Would recommend this hotel. There is a price for the internet use. Security is very good and responds very quickly to trouble. Front desk is very friendly.

I am very likely to return to the Palace Station Hotel and Casino.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Maxxy icon Avoid the motel part of this hotel!

I go to the Palace Station every time I go to Las Vegas. If you like seafood gumbo, the Oyster Bar here has the best!

One time, I attended a conference that was held in the Palace Station, so I got the group rate. Unfortunately, the room was in the motel part of the hotel. You actually have to cut through an alley behind the hotel to get to the motel. I saw some type of insect in the bathroom. The room was less than optimal and very cheap looking. Knowing there was an insect in the room, I had the "heebie-jeebies"! I stayed out of the room as much as possible.

The second day, I saw a different type of insect on the bathroom mirror! So, I ain't planning on sleeping at all! I was so uncomfortable, but I had to get some rest as I was heading back home in the morning.

Now, the hotel has excellent shuttle services to the Strip as well as to McCarran.

If you stay at the Palace Station, beware of the motel part of the hotel!
