In defense and because I have seen bed bugs, if you didn't see them in the bed then they were NOT bedbugs! You wouldn't have seen them anyway, they come out at NIGHT and bite women more because men are too hairy. If you see "pepper" like excrement in the edges of the cording around the mattress - that is a sign of bedbugs. I have a legal B&B and couldn't help but respond to this review because I am sick of people writing untruths who don't know what they are talking about. I have a 5 star B&B but still every so often get someone who wanted the resort at the B&B price and didn't read the descriptions, amenities or look at the photos. These reviews are painful and costly - you should be ashamed of yourself. I have stayed there and will again. I can TELL you of some nasty places if you want to be nasty where it is deserved.

The staff was helpful, but we discovered bedbugs in our room! The room appeared clean, but the furniture and mattress were old. Also, the linens and bedcover were stiff and scratchy, something I didn't expect. I do not plan on returning, especially after discovering the housekeeping staff and resort management were not particularly concerned about the bedbugs!

It was a bit far away from most attractions. The rooms were nice; the staff was helpful and friendly. You need a car to get around.

This hotel made me feel respected: I was treated well and the staff was courteous at all times and answered any questions quickly and competently. They volunteered information without asking specifically for it.
