Great Spot for staying near Yellowstone

I've read several disappointed reviews, but we stayed there anyway and it was great. No, they do not have a TV, but you're near Yellowstone, we were never there long enough to watch anything! Room was clean and fresh and had a view of the river, even two chairs out front to enjoy the outdoors in the morning. The bathroom was very nice, and the two bed room was a very good size. We unloaded all of our gear every day and were never tripping over anything. No bug or rodent problems like some reported, but there was a couple of friendly foxes that we saw every day.
My only complaint is the internet connection, the only place that it works is in the restaurant and the pub. I felt awkward sitting in the restaurant not eating just to check emails. Overall, a great place!

Glad I found this website! We booked two days at Pahaska in early June. The cabin was a bit dirty (especially the bathroom) and mice are everywhere. We spoke with the loud neighbors renting the cabin next to ours and they were also going to leave due to mice. There are no laundry facilities and nothing for our 5 yr old to do there. Our waiter was dirty and possibly high on drugs. He just didn't seem to care. Our food was way over-priced, and the salad was lettuce and two onion rings as they were out of tomatoes. One beer cost us $2.75! Also, STAY AWAY from the gift shop and gas station as they are tourist traps. We booked for two days and left after one day. There are many other places to stay in the area and you can still stop at Pahaska has the original lodge that Cody built, but good luck getting inside as it was closed because the employee hadn't arrived for work!

Pricey and micey

We thought the location was great when we pulled in but the room was not as promised (was told they were free standing cabins and they were duplexes).
But as we settled in for the night, the real problems came out of the woodwork - mice! Now I have camped and stayed in rustic cabins before but I have never dealt with such an infestation of mice. They were so plentiful and aggressive that they got into our beds throughout the night. For the $100+ rate per night I'm guessing they base that on a $1 per mouse fee. Do Not Stay Here!! Risk camping out with the grizzlies, at least you will hear them approaching.

Great location, needs cleaning

We loved the location for going to the park. We were a little discouraged by the condition of the room, lost our shoe under the bed and after looking under the bed we wished we hadn't. I don't think they had been cleaned under this season, full of dirt and dust bunnies. Our sheets would not stay on the bed at night, everytime we moved the sheets and the mattress pad rolled up into a ball. It would be nice to have a small table in the rooms to sit at when you are in your cabin. The cleaning people came to clean the cabin next to ours and it took them approximately 10 minutes, I wonder what they accomplished in such a short time. They only left one large towel in our room every day, some small ones and a few wash cloths, they were friendly enought when we called for more large towels but why didn't they leave more than one in the first place. The people were friendly enough, some of the gals in the gift shop were very busy visiting and had to be asked to wait on you. We loved the peace and quiet of the place and would love to stay there agin if it were only cleaner. I guess I would hesitate to book there again unless they could guarantee cleaner rooms.
