The Pagoda Hotel is celebrated locally and internationally for the value of its accommodations, its convenient location in the heart of Honolulu, and the spectacular ponds of Koi fish that inhabit the ponds that surround the award-winning Pagoda Floating Restaurant. A beautiful Japanese garden embraces the private teahouses and restaurant of the 360-room hotel. With a waterfall backdrop and its lush foliage, the garden is a relaxing and gorgeous setting for restaurant diners, special events, weddings and other gatherings, or for sitting quietly contemplating the vibrant aquatic life that inhabit the ponds.

I checked in to Pagoda 4 days ago and out this morning, February 21. Positive: the room and bath was kept spotlessly clean. I arrived at the hotel late evenings and always found street parking close by. Air conditioning worked well, bedding was comfortable.
Negative: I asked for a quiet space and got verbal assurance of same at checkin. These folks have never stayed in their own hotel. What I got was a room 5 floors just above the delivery entry on Rycroft Street, which was EVERY DAY at 11 PM visited by a giant laundry service truck, complete with beep-beep-beep-beep- backups and crashing off-loads and on-loads of laundry, and human voices adding to the din. This woke me up every single night, and at 445 AM EVERY DAY garbage collection began, same noise level. These noises would have intruded on occupants of at least 150 of the guest rooms. Go prepared with earplugs and/or sleeping meds.
The hotel caters to giant Japanese tour groups. Internet modems are being in stalled, but at present the hotel has no internet service. If you want to be in town but don't wan t Waikiki, there are few choices, we locals with a short-term lodging need are a captive audience.
