I liked the great location. I disliked that the mountain side of hotel overlooked the heat and air conditioning unit of the building next door. It was very noisy and I could not leave the lanai door open at night.

We have stayed at the Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach hotel probably eight or ten times. It is our favorite place because of the location, the friendliness of the staff and the beach crew and the comfort and the service.

This hotel made me feel respected: The hotel staff was extremely respectful and helpful with every or any request that we have had over the last ten to fifteen years of staying at that property.

It's the best hotel ever. I checked in late. There were no problems. They had great concierge service both checking in and out. They have a very good restaurant, especially the buffet breakfast, and bars. It had a small but excellent beach. It had a fabulous view. It was an ocean front room well worth the price.

It was clean and safe, but very busy. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was good. If I was looking for a luxury spa sort of resort where I was catered to, I would not stay there, but if you just want a good, decent hotel directly on Waikiki Beach in congested downtown Honolulu, the Outrigger hotel will serve you well.

It is an excellent hotel in a great location on Waikiki beach, with multiple restaurants to choose. Dukes is a excellent bar on the beach with authentic Hawaiian music.

My husband and I had previously visited this hotel, when we were in town on a cruise. We always said if or when we returned, we would stay there.

The location is great, we were in the middle of everything, it's the most exciting spot on the beach. There were a lot of other hotels around with live music and dancing, but all the whole of Waikiki seemed to always gather at Duke's place, day and night.

There is always a bit of a wait at the elevator.

The view was to die for, every morning looking out at the ocean, sitting on our lanai having 10% Kona coffee, well this is heaven. We had partial ocean view, but it looked full to me.

The only bad experience was upon check in, it was pure chaos, there was no order whatsoever. We had traveled for 8 1/2 hours and I'm sure other guests had similar experiences. I was verbally attacked by a six foot guest, with no help from any of the employees.

It was a terrible scene.

We stayed at two locations. The Outrigger at the beach and Outrigger Palms in Kihei, Maui. Both places were excellent. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable of their respective areas. The service staff was timely on requested items such as extra towels. I would go with Outrigger anytime.

I loved the Outrigger. I stayed next door several years ago, but ate at the restaurants in the Outrigger. So when I came back to Hawaii, I wanted to stay at the Outrigger, and everything their was great.
