56 year old female with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

My husband and I were scheduled to stay there for one night before our flight home. We didn't. We were given a room that was filthy - from the disgusting carpet to the dirty ceiling tiles and every single inch in between. We kept our shoes on at all times, didn't shower because the bathroom was so disgusting and were hesitant to lie on the bed. Upon check-in we asked for a wake-up call for the next morning. The clock in the room didn't work. The TV didn't work. There was little to no security for our pool-side room. Around 9:00 PM we called for a ride to our airport gate, left that horrible motel and spent the night at the airport. No one should stay there. The Clarion Corp should be aware that even though they don't own it anymore, the negative association is so strong that I won't even consider staying at a Clarion property again.

If you see a rating Higher than 1, It is probably the owners pulling a fast one. Filthy, moldy ( es you will see it & smell it ), electrical boxes hanging from walls, hollow room doors w/ broken locks. Stains on walls, floors & sheets ( including blood ). Did I mention the lovely green pool surrounded by the beautifully manicured weeds.

Let me recommend the rooms that are already taken. Yes they do have a habit of giving the same rooms out at the same time. Been there done that. Imagine walking in on somebody else. Imagine someone walking in on you! Walk around and you will see all the empty rooms (from the pool area) that look like a bomb hit it or should have. Do research on other travel sites and check out the reviews. We can't all be wrong. I got pictures to prove it. The pics on some sites look like they were taken 20 years ago of this place. It was nice back then. Obviously the Clarion chain dumped it for a reason. It is worse then I could explain.

This place was a bit creepy. It seems like a very lovely hotel when you walk in, but you'll soon see that this hotel is trying to cut serious corners whenever possible. Our room was smelly, there was no fitted sheets on the bed (ridiculous and disgusting). The person at the front desk was covered in tattoos, he called out our room number for any and everyone to hear, and he didn't tell us basic information about the hotel (such as how to get into the room and when and if there was a breakfast). The amenitities were very minimal. The continental breakfast was revolting. There was a pile of cheap muffins covered in flies, no juice (just some sort of red drink in a pitcher), no cereal, no milk, no fruit, just those disgusting muffins. I couldn't believe how crappy this hotel was. I wouldn't stay there again.

Our church had two scheduled functions there. We were given the impression that they were a Clarion / Econolodge but that is very incorrect.

The grievances that we have are much to many to list in this space available. They would not keep their agreements, written or verbal. They utterly ruined our church buffet with disgusting food, served over an hour and half late and not even food we ordered. It was served in an embarrassing manner.

In an effort to keep our part of the agreement we gave them another opportunity which turned into another heartbreaking event. Because they kept changing the deals using bait and switch tactics, unscrupulous business practices and would not return phone calls we had our next dinner someplace else. They had the nerve to take out $1596 from our Visa without permission for the buffet we had somewhere else. We are going thru great hardship because of their devious practices.

Due to our nightmare experiences with them we have heard from many who were upset by the way they were treated also.

This is no longer a Clarion hotel. It's just called the Orlando International Airport Hotel now.

What can I say, except that it was just disgusting. There wasn't a chair in the whole place that didn't have stains on the seat. The elevator looked like someone splashed coke on the walls and then rubbed dirt in it. My stay was in March 2007, and the elevator permits had expired in August of 2006. Half the ice machines didn't work. My bathtub had visible dirty crud built up in it. About 1/10th of the washcloth in my bathroom had been shredded and was missing, with tattered strands hanging and holes in the rest of it.

The continental breakfast was mini doughnuts with Hawaiian Punch and Tang. A fellow visitor had no hot water. I was with a group of about 75 people, and many of us ended up sick, probably from moldy, dirty conditions. The outside hot tub was more of a tepid tub that looked about as dirty as the rest of the hotel.

None of the internal facilities were open. No restaurant. The shops were boarded up. Some of the elevator buttons didn't work.

You get the idea

All was fine, especially the night duty desk clerk who repeatedly reminded my escort of our room number when it was forgotten after such a long day. It was after midnight when we checked in.

This hotel made me feel welcome: They greeted us with a smile.

I am very likely to return to the Orlando International Airport Hotel.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

The telephone in the room did not work. I reported the problem but it was not corrected. A part of the window pane was missing. There were not enough towels and wash cloths. The old facilities did not seem to be clean or updated. I disliked the old, loose carpet in the hallways. If I had not prepaid the room, I would have left.

I am not likely to return to the Orlando International Airport Hotel.
I would not recommend it to friends.

The location was near the airport. They had a shuttle to the airport. I was permitted to park our car at the motel while we were not there for one week.

I don't even know where to begin. I haven't found any current ratings on this one yet, as it seems the service has gone quite down hill.

We stayed there last weekend and expected a no bells and whistles hotel, as expected with the price. We got our key to our room to find out the key wouldn't open the door, there was a “Do Not Disturb” sign up and we could hear a TV from the inside of the room. No big deal, we went back to the girl at the counter and she realized that room was already taken and we received another key to a room on a totally different floor and area of the hotel. We got in okay, but only to find a filthy room with candy wrappers all over the bed, ashes scattered all over the desk, the windows were all open which made the room unbearably warm, and the toilet had cigars in it. The bed wasn't made and it was purely disgusting. We went back to the ho hum girl at the front desk and she half apologized and gave up a third key to another room near the first room we tried to get into.

Apparently, none of the rooms had been cleaned but were logged into the computer as clean and vacant. There was a housekeeper that was arguing with the girls out loud at the desk and I felt that none of them were very customer friendly at all. We decided to finally chill in our 'clean' room and maybe take a dip in the hot tub. Well, the hot tub was broken and looked like it had been for awhile. We went to sit by the small pool and stick our feet in (it was a bit too scary looking to actually go in full on) and were greeted by a family up on a second floor throwing glass beer bottles not far from the pools. After that, we decided to go back to the luxury room. Note: The lobby area smelled very bad, like a locker room.

It was about 9 o'clock by then and we were changing out of our swim suits and were greeted by woman at our door trying to get into the room. She has also been given a room that was obviously taken, confused, but with humor she went back to the front desk as we did! You would think they would have solved the room problems 6 hours after we checked in! Oh, and one of the light fixtures was hanging down off a lamp, very unsafe and we called room service no one answered. Their shuttle service, a van that was barely running, had mailbox lettering on the outside for not-so-easy identification. To avoid airport tolls, the van took a deserted road which overlooked landfills with what looked like airplane carcasses, quite fascinating. Anyways, to make a long story short, I wouldn't recommend this gem unless you like unpleasant odors, wacky vans, and unexpected roommates!

I am not likely to return to the Orlando International Airport Hotel.
I would not recommend it to friends.

This is an amazingly beautiful hotel. However, I disliked the departure billing. I had to leave a day early due to emergencies at home and checked out and got a billing receipt. The total deducted from my bank included an extra night that I didn't stay. I called regarding the overbilling and the person I needed to talk to was never in the office for the next three weeks when I was told that they would be there.

I am somewhat likely to return to the Orlando International Airport Hotel.

The one problem I had with this hotel was there were ants in our room and bathroom. They were crawling all over the furniture. It was not a really great experience; I would not stay there again. But the hotel itself was very nice.
