The Mandalay is like an oasis in the middle of the busy Las Colinas business park. Antiques from Burma are placed throughout the hotel. The hotel is located on the beautiful Mandalay Canal that features benches and tables for the guest to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. A leisurely stroll through the gardens of the hotel and continuing down the canal, are old buildings that are reminiscent of old Venice. In the lobby a lounge filled with green plants and large windows offers a peaceful view of the canal that invites the guest to relax and enjoy.

24 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
I got the chance to stay at the Omni Mandalay Hotel recently for an anniversary. Its a beautiful 4 star hotel, attentive service and deluxe accommodations were already expected, but I was truly pleasantly surprised at the amount of attention to detail that Omni provided that made work a little bit more pleasurable.
As a member of their guest loyalty program, I enjoyed little perks such as the complimentary wireless internet in my room and a beverage of my choice in the morning. Another very thoughtful memento that I received from Omni was a jar of Penzeys Pumpkin Pie Spice, the perfect reminder of Thanksgiving and the holiday season right around the corner. It is so refreshing to know that some hotels really place an importance on even the smallest of details. Sometimes, the best things can come in small packages.
The front desk was very courteous and helpful as I needed a pair of scissors and she gave me her only pair. My room was on the 17th floor so the view was nice, I could see the downtown skyline off in the distance. The room itself was more spacious than other hotels I've been to, but the design was a little odd with a lot of unused space. The bed was quite comfortable with plenty of pillows and the turn down service was a nice touch. The bathroom had a separate shower and tub, which could have used a bit of a scrub. Other than that, I have no complaints about this hotel.
The service was exceptional, there was a mix up on my bill as to whether I used valet service, but the front desk immediately took care of it as soon as I called. I highly encourage everyone to sign up as a Select Guest (why not - it's free!)
