Omni Los Angeles Hotel - Page 2

Our business rented a suite at the Omni recently. Unfortunately, all of our requests made well in advance of our stay and confirmed numerous times weren't completed upon our arrival. No one had any idea that the requests were made and confirmed in writing. Untold time was wasted trying to deal with a rude manager who was more interested in placing blame than solving the problems at hand. It was truly a nightmare.

There was a cockroach in my room on the alarm clock when I awoke in the morning.

Some of the door guys were snobby.

This hotel made me feel secure: It was quiet with good door locks and it didn't have a lot of strange people milling around.

My husband & I went to this hotel with my teenage son & daughter. The rooms are elegant, had big beds, and clean bathrooms. We went to Universal Studio for the day and felt like a King & Queen when we arrived at the hotel. We will be back when we return to LA.

On my previous visit I had a bad experience because I didn't have any hot water. It's an okay hotel, but not great. I would prefer to stay at the Hilton Checkers.

This is a very convenient first class hotel in excellent condition. The rooms are not huge, but very comfortable and the service and personnel were always cheerful and helpful. The layout makes it feel smaller and more personal than most other hotels of this size and prominence.

Located at Bunker Hill in the the heart of Downtown Los Angeles. Half an hour drive from LAX and near to many downtown museums. The junior suite is spacious and comfortable. Chill out in the evening with a drink in the Noe Bar.

The room service was prompt.

I recommend the Omni strongly.

Due to a mix-up, at check-in I had basically no reservation but the manager and front desk agent went out of their way to call the agent and change the dates. Amazingly my reservation was switched with no problem and surcharge at all.

The service rendered and received was without question above and beyond what I'd expected especially with the discounted rate I'd booked the room.

In fact the day manager and the front desk agent made me feel very at home and at ease by suggesting that if I was hungry that I could go for lunch in the California Plaza while she fixed my reservation. I was treated with the utmost respect and courtesy while my problem was being resolved.

Room 920 was designed for the physically challenged and therefore quite spacious - large door openings and plenty of room to move about. Room very well appointed; large tv; fully stocked mini bar and snacks if you woke up hungry; bathroom very clean with bathsheet towels and the king size bed was VERY comfortable!

I used the 49 cents/minute computer in the business center to print boarding passes but the very slow connection kept timing out and ended up wasting 11 minutes. But this inconvenience would not deter me from staying at the OMNI again.

I love the location as it is close to the Music Center (Dorothy Chandler, Ahmanson and Mark Taper Forum theatres), the Walt Disney Concert Hall, many museums; and very close to Little Tokyo for great authentic and busy Japanese restaurants.

However during the nights this business district becomes quite deserted and the homeless aspect is quite prevalent. A complimentary car service is provided within a 3 mile radius which I would have used if I had not already bought a day bus pass.

Overall I was more than impressed with the OMNI - superior customer service and a thoroughly pleasant 2 night stay!

This hotel was in a great location for business in the downtown area. The workout room was the absolute best I have ever used in any hotel. I really enjoyed having a separate shower and a tub in the bathroom.

We were there with a group and were treated well. We had all our group on one floor.

I enjoyed the outdoor lap pool.

This hotel is beautiful. However, the location is not prime for LA area tourists. Parking is a problem -- only valet is available for $24/day (but they do let you come and go as many times as you want). All things considered, it's a great hotel at a great value.

I didn't like the overpriced restaurant with mediocre food. I expected better.

This hotel made me feel welcome: The front desk staff was very quick, friendly, and efficient. The doormen were very attentive.
