The Omni Hotel at Independence Park is an European-style luxury hotel in downtown Philadelphia Society Hill, overlooking Independence National Historic Park. The hotel is located less than 2 blocks from Independence Hall, U.S. Mint, the Liberty Bell, the Visitor's Center and 4 blocks from the National Constitution Center. Whether it's the imported marble floors, the original art that adorns the walls or the eye catching arrangements of freshly cut flowers, there is something about this hotel that draws guests back time and time again. Guests can sit by the warmth of a roaring fire, listen to the baby grand piano or indulge their senses with fine cuisine at the Azalea Restaurant. The Omni Hotel at Independence Park is ready to serve with the hospitality of days gone by. And with a premier location in Philadelphia's historic district, guests will have a chance to explore the nation's 'Cradle of Liberty' as history unfolds right outside their door. This is a completely smoke free hotel.

If your are going to Philadelphia for the historical sites, this hotel is right in the middle of them all. One block from Independence Hall and Liberty Bell. Walking distance to everything. Price was very competitive for the city.
I am very likely
to return to the Omni Hotel At Independence Park.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Okay
pros: Great tourist location. Concierge during our stay was outstanding. This is a classic business-oriented hotel right next to the sights around Independence Hall. That's a bit ironic considering that there isn't all that many business locations...

I booked a room at the Omni International at Philadelphia through Expedia.com. It was described as a "parlor room". Little did I realize that this means that the room at this "luxury" hotel is only a pull-out couch, not a bed with a real mattress!
I have never had a more unpleasant night in a hotel and the staff were completely unhelpful. When I complained, they stated that I should have known that a "parlor room" does not include a bed. Expedia.com were similarly unhelpful.
In addition, the room was awful, with every sound from the adjoining rooms completely audible.
