I wish the hotel had been closer by a block or so to the theater district, given some windy weather. Overall, it was excellent accommodations and an excellent staff. Ask up front if they can provide you a coffee maker in the room, though. Valet parking was excellent, it cost maybe another eight dollars per day, but well worth it. The car was there within less than ten minutes of my calling, parked right in front. Its a great hotel. It has a really terrific location for shopping, museums, the park, theater, and restaurants. None of these was more than a ten to twelve minute walk.
Everything was orderly, spotless, quiet, and efficient. Even in the busy district, Madison Avenue runs alongside the hotel. It gave us all a lift to know that peace can be had even amid seeming chaos. It gave a wonderful picture of a true New York City experience.

The beds and pillows were wonderful; service great, friendly. Our problem was with the bar. Two of us ordered a glass of Pinot Noir. Didn't taste right. Questioned waiter. Oh, yes - exactly what was ordered. Ordered second glass and caught bartender pouring from different (and less expensive) wine bottle than what was ordered. Now, were served complimentary glasses of correct wine. Second night, ordered 40 yr. old port. Was told they didn't carry it. Saw it on upper shelf. Was told "that bottle isn't opened" and encouraged to pick another port. Insisted we be served what we ordered. Beware, watch the pour, and check your bill!!

The Omni staff were very accomodating & especially friendly. Great location. Breakfast was VERY pricey, but good. Isadora's, just across the street, had great food, snack & breakfast prices. Would love to go back to the Omni.

It is charming, well located, friendly, intimate, accommodating. It is truly a favorite place to stay!
I am graciously greeted, I am given special rates and room upgrades if available and they give nice attention to detail. They are sophisticated yet friendly.
