The Omni Austin Hotel Downtown is located in the downtown business district, one block from the 6th street entertainment district, 6 blocks away from the capitol complex and convention center. Easily accessible to Zilker Park, Highland Lakes and LBJ ranch, the hotel sits on previous site of the original governor's mansion. The hotel sits at a 45 degree angle with an office building, and the two are adjoined with a spectacular 200 foot glass atrium. The lobby level atrium offers Ancho's Restaurant, a lounge, gift shop, Enterprise car rental, men's clothing shop, jewelry store, hair and nail salon. The Omni Austin Hotel Downtown was voted as having the best view from a hot tub by the Austin Chronicle.

Got an excellent upgrade almost immediately. The suite was roomy and had all the amenities, like a small apartment. The food was great and the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. All in all the hotel gets an A+++.
