Old Town Hotel Alexandria

The room was dirty when we arrived, toothpaste on the walls, toys under the bed etc. The shuttle was consistently late taking and picking us up at the metro station. the manager on duty in the evenings was not at all helpful. Key card slot on door didn't work, one evening maintenance had to get us into room using 2 screwdrivers. Garage was a dirty mess, car was filthy every day.

Unfortunatly our Agency had booked and paid for the week several months in advance.

The location was fine, the bed was exceptionally comfortable and the dining room was excellent for breakfast. There was a little mix up for us and other members of the family, on our rates, but that was cleared up.

It was great. The staff was as friendly as in any place I would stay in the mid west.

The location is fantastic, but this is not a reason to shortchange guests in other areas!

The hotel employees were very unfriendly and not accommodating. Several mishaps occurred that were not our fault, and the hotel management did not right the wrongs. I grew up in Alexandria and remember when the Holiday Inn was top-notch. I used to be a frequent visitor, but I will not return there unless it is under new ownership!

It's a great location, a great place to stay if visiting Alexandria or Washington, DC. My preferred place to stay on my regular visits to Alexandria.

This hotel made me feel elegant: The decor of the lobby and the rooms radiates charm and European sophistication. It reminded me somewhat of being back in England.
