Old Barn Resort

We stayed with our five children in the Old Barn Resort Hostel.

This was an excellent option for us because in Lanesboro there are a lot of Bed and Breakfasts and they usually do not cater to large families.

It was very easy to make meals in the kitchen, if you are grilling on the outdoor grill and cooling the cold foods in the refrigerator.

I did not hear a lot of the upstairs bar noise. The bathrooms were as clean as to be expected with a lot of Fourth of July guests. The pool is just right for kids. The frogs croaking at night were a lot of fun to listen to!

Go to Lanesboro if you have the chance, the Amish tour was well worth the money. Make sure your driver takes you to an Amish bakery and basket making farm.

The Hostel was worth it and we would do it again in a minute!

We stayed in the hostel, but we have previously stayed at the campground. The bunkhouses were clean, but we had to suffer endless noise until 1:30 in the morning and beginning again at 5:30 am. There was loud music being played from the staff upstairs after the restaurant/bar closed. The staff also said they were cleaning to explain the noise from 5:30-7:30. The men's bathroom was old, and not clean throughout our weekend stay. The ladies restroom was old, but reasonably clean. I will stay somewhere else next time in Lanesboro.
