I have never written any reviews but this one was worth it!! We went to this resort August 2007. The rooms were great but everything else was horrible. They cater to the masses.
The hotel looked beautiful on the outside...pool, slides... BUT we were on the 21st floor and waited and waited for an elevator EVERYTIME we needed on. At times, there was a line to get on there. We were so packed that the elevators would stop because they were so heavy. The kids would cry because they were so packed in there. The pools looked beautiful but the bathrooms OUTSIDE were filthy and stopped up, not to mention no soap or paper towles. (This was at 9:00 in the morning). It was like this the entire time.
The kids can only get on the slide if there is a lifeguard which is not there all the time and is not affiliated with the hotel so when you ask, they don't know.
Parking is $12 dollars a day, at the hotel (RIP OFF).
The Putt Putt is inside on the 4th floor and looks pretty cheap.
The lazy river was so packed that you had to wait in another line for a float and then your foot would be in someone's face.
I called the store downstairs 8 minutes before closing to get tums but there was no answer. When I went down there, she just closed up early and would not even look my way as I stood by the door. I am 6 months pregnant but that did not matter.
I rarely saw any people walking around wanted to help ar answer a question. I cannot believe we wasted our money.
A week later, We visited a Golf and Spa resort in Maryland that was not focused on the masses and it still had a slide, pools, putt putt. They managed to have clean bathrooms outside and provide Excellent customer service. The kids were having a wonderful time. Next Time, we will look into more of an adult facility that has all the great things included for kids. That way the parents and the kids can have a true vacation. I would NEVER go back to this resort even if it were FREE!!!!
