Yesterday, May 6, I called the hotel reservation line and reserved a room for my 83 yo mom and me for today and tomorrow(May 7th and 8). I spoke to a nice person named Lydia. Today, Mom cancelled the trip because she isn't feeling well....That happens at 83. I called the hotel at 5am to cancel--spoke to the night auditor/manager, a fellow named Jason who bruskly refused to cancel the room--"we have a 48 hour cancellation policy."
"That wasn't told to me when I reserved the room, nor is it included in any of the web material."
"I don't care, that's the policy. you will be charged for the room."
So, I would urge other travelers to beware this hotel and their so called policy--particularily if you are traveling with elderly or disabled who may have fragile health.
