As I read the reviews for this motel it surprises me!! We have taken our family vacation here for the last 4 years and have enjoyed every one. This year we are taking a cruise with our children but will stop by our "private" motel to end our vacat

The India Manager would not agree to the negotiated rate for an ocean view room, and he would not honor an e-mail verification of the rate he quoted.
He tried to put us in a room that smelled of mold and mildew that had chairs laying across two small beds. We left this place and stayed at a Holiday Inn.
My wife and i are seniors in our mid 60's, and we consider this incident to be the worst dishonesty of motel management we have encountered anywhere.
Our advice is STAY AWAY. Look elsewhere for familiar name accommodations

My husband and I stayed at the Ocean Sands last Christmas, 4 days, and found the motel to be very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The beach is across the street, but certainly close. The rooms were large, bright and well equipped, and the breakfast was of a very good quality. We are planning to return this Christmas as well. Very good value for the area.

I was told beach hotel was on beach, not true! a1a runs between the beach and hotel. not a private balcony at all, everyone driving a1a could see you! very very rude staff! we didnt stay but maybe 15 mins. was told no refund, and lady at desk even said she wasn't worried about it because it wasnt coming out of her pocket!! room wasnt much to talk about either. i personally dont like being lied to or being taken advantage of!! will not ever return. ( we stayed at the beachers lodge in cresent beach, a must see!!)

The beach is across the very busy A1A, it’s all crushed shells and very eroded. The pool is located in the middle of the parking lot, and the motel smells of mildew. Our shower had fuzzy mold growing on it and the tub and sink didn't drain, we complained, but they didn't repair it. The breakfast was nothing to talk about. The staff wasn't at all friendly.
