THIS HOTEL IS PART OF THE RAMADA PLAZA RESORT. THEY OFFER A 2 FOR 1 SPECIAL AND A RENTER CAR IF THE GO TO A PRESENTATION ON TIMESHARE. I THOUGHT THIS WOULD BE GREAT, BECAUSE I WANTED TO BUY A TIME SHARE. GOT TO THE HOTEL, NO BELL PERSON, CHECKED IN,WENT TO THE ROOM, DOOR DOES NOT WORK. AFTER 30 MINUTE OF KEY RECODING, THEY USE THE PASS KEY. ROOM IS NOT CLEAN, MOLD EVERYWHERE. MOVED US TO ANOTHER ROOM. TUB & BATHROOM FLOOR NOT CLEAN. AND THEY CHARGE AND EXTRA $20 PER NIGHT AFTER YOU HAVE PAID IN FULL BEFORE YOUR TRIP.

After reading quite a few "bad" experiences regarding vacations spent at the Ocean Point Resort my husband and I decided to give it a try. Why not? If things were that bad we could always go to another hotel.

To our surprise...the rooms were VERY clean..everything was in working order. You could not have asked for nicer staff from the cleaning crew to every person we dealt with at the front desk.

Great ocean view and the restraurant had wonderful food. All of the waitress' were great and yes, the Tiki bar was great!

By the way- if you look at the hotel website you will see it mentions the $15 a day "resort fee". Most "ocean front" Florida hotels do include an additional "fee" some call it "resort fee"..some call it a "parking fee". This fee should not be a surprise.

I recently stayed at the ocean point resort with my wife. But i did not spend the night. You might ask why?? Well let's just say that i was told the room was there last vacancy and that it was $179. I was fine with the price, but if i only knew what was waiting for me. That night after a night of having fun in Ft Lauderdale, we came back too that room exhausted and ready for bed. My wife decided too pull back the covers and found a lot of body fluids on the covers. It was sick! We called the front desk and the said there was no one there that could help. SO they sent security up with one little sheet, What a Joke!

This gets better. I told front desk if they could not fix the problem i was leaving. Mind you this was at 12:00am. So I left. But I asked for my bill too be zeroed. The front desk boy said that he could not give me anything of that nature, and kept rolling his eyes at me as if I had done something wrong. Finally I asked him to right it if he could not do it on the computer. He did then we left in the middle of the night too find another hotel.

When I got home from my vacation I noticed from that first day that someone had used my credit card all week and charged thousands of dollars to it.

I would advise you too stay far away from here. Not only did he rip me off, he charged my $250 for the night. And they give there parking away too the people who visit the bar at night. Please do not go to Ocean Point Resort!
