I loved my stay here. The location was great, just a VERY SHORT walk to the beach. Not exactly on the beach but almost! A small parking area separates the hotel from the beach. Very friendly and helpful staff! Our TV was messed up in...

The term "resort" is misleading, at best. There are few, if any, amenities. Room service is listed but there are no menus or information available in the room regarding this or any of the hotel's supposed services. There are no good restaurants within walking distance. The vending machines were not functioning properly. If you get a non-ocean view room, you will get the bleak parking lot by day and streetlights by night view. If you get an oceanview room, you still have to look at and listen to a public parking lot by day and view the parking lights by night. The hotel grounds were overrun with public beach access' foot and vehicle traffic, and hotel guests and non-guests alike overcrowded the pool and pool bar areas. This could explain why every time I attempted to enter the building through room key access, someone was always waiting with some story about not having a key and wanting in. For that reason, I would definitely not recommend staying on the ground floor. Rowdy guests/non-guests could be heard all hours of the day and night. However, this would be an appropriate location for spring breakers. The walls were paper thin (as was the bed), so everytime any neighboring room opened or closed their balcony door, it created a loud, obnoxious grating sound. The rooms and other facilities were dirty, terribly out-dated, including rusty bathroom door hinges and a dirt-stained bathtub. With some extensive renovations and crowd control, this would not be a bad spot.

My family planned our vacation in February 2008. I called before booking the two-room suite on-line in order to get information regarding their rooms. I was told the two-room suites were located on the 3rd and 4th floors of the resort with fabulous ...

This elevators in this hotel smelled like a filthy cat litter box. I had to hold my breath every time, since I couldn't find the stairs. There were wet spots on the carpet when we got there, and something crusty on the bedspread. The bathroom also...

Okay
Ocean view.A bit run-down.“If you want to be on the beach at Tybee, this is probably the best choice. Could be a lot cleaner (especially for the money), but it's not as run-down as the beachfront motels of nearby Jekyll Island. Tybee is an...

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The lobby was off in the parking lot which was unusual, but it was just meant to sign in and out. The rooms were clean. We went in June of 2007 and it wasn't too busy, but very windy and the water was freezing (which they said was unusual for that time). We took the parking lot view verses the ocean because the parking lot is on both sides and there is a huge sand dune covering the ocean view. You would have to get a room at the very top to view the ocean and we opted to save quit a bit of money. The pool bar was nice, friendly people except for the indoor bar. They seemed snooty when we got off the elevator, we thought it was the restaurant for the first half of the stay, but that was on the third floor. The breakfast was good. The rooms look like they did in the photo's except for the view from the ocean, it was deceiving because they purposely cut out the unsightly parking lot. NOT to mention that this hotel is the PUBLIC access to the ocean for everyone on the island, so it was packed with outside travelers. On the weekend we had to deal with finding a spot just to park our cars, and they had parking attendants collecting money for outside parking- Annoying. This place isn't for children, everything closes around 9, even the restaurants. Only the bars are open. We found ourselves scrounging for a place open just to eat because we were unaware. Overall we enjoyed our stay. If we go back, we would just go as a couples trip and stay in a beach front condo.

The hotel was fine. It was in a great location, by the beach and restaurants and bars. The only problem was that there was not enough ice. The machines were empty due to high usage. You could go to the hotel bar or the restaurant for ice though, even for
