Would have rated this hotel as a five; beautiful, old hotel in the process of being remodeled. Excellent view, wonderful tiki bar, comfortable rooms.
However, on the morning we were checking out, we went to have breakfast at the restaurant as usual. Had voucher for breakfast for two people worth $15. Older, blond-haired waitress was horrible!!! Took 15 mins to get menus, and every table had to hunt her down to pay the bill! Ridiculous, but why should she care? She added gratuity, then told us our voucher did not cover coffee and oj. Funny it did for every other meal, every other server. I hunted down a manager to find another guest making the exact same complaint! I added my story to the conversation and was assured that this was just a misunderstanding. A waitress lying to me and stealing my money is not a "misunderstanding!"
Manager was wonderful; hope he took care of the problem. If waitress is stealing from guests, it's not a huge leap to assume she is stealing from hotel. Other servers were fantastic and treated guests as if they appreciated them and want them to come back. We will go back, but I think I will go to McDonalds for breakfast!

I hated everything about the hotel. The rooms were not what was shown online. Rooms were dirty, towels were old and tattered, staff was rude, balcony was dirty and had pigeons droppings all over the walls, the mattress on the pullout sofa was nasty and dirty, the room had terrible odor and so did the carpet in the hallways. They ran out of wash rags so there none to use. Gentleman at the front desk did not want to hear what the problem was with the room ,he was very rude and hung up after angrily saying he would change my room. I could not wait for the night to end so I could get out. Would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. Chairs in rooms were torn in several places and wood floors in one of the rooms I was eventually put in was warpt. Just thinking of this place gives me the chills. The entire hotel needs to be refurbished and they need new staff. They are also doing some construction in the lobby which is noisy and disruptive. I gave this place a 1 because there was not a 0 shown.

hookers with runny facial sores hung out at the poolside bar tying cherry stems with their teeth while their pimps worked on computers. mob lawyer insulted my wife and laughed. Pool was so nasty no one dared swim in it. Bed was like a valley. Plaster and wallpaper peeling in hallways. Room service overcharged us for terrible food. Worst part was the monstrous owner, about six seven, who screamed at my wife because our dog was too big (no one bothered to tell us). He was yelling at some fourteen year old kid because the kid wasn't wearing a shirt in the elevator. I mean screaming. This is the worst place I've ever stayed, and I travel. Really, folks, be warned. It's awful.

when we got here for spring break we wanted to find a resort on the ocean for a reasonable price.given it was spring break yes there would most likely be people up 24 hours. its understandable.we just wanted to go out to clubs and come back to a place to sleep without bothering anyone. but little did i know i would drop my car off at the valet who spoke no english, and would return to find that someone backed my car into a tree smashing the bumper and taillight in to the point i will be driving 1600 miles back to milwaukee WI. with ducktape holding it all together (over 1200 in damage my insurance company said). when i talked to the owner he told me to clear it up with the valets. they denied anything to do with it. but my car was parked only in the parking lot.with the valets having the only key all night. then i guess nodody did it(sarcasm).so i was ignored and disreguarded as i called all the leading staff members of the hotel. they began to avoid me to the point where i would see them and they would walk away as i aproached them. and thats just for starters.
the bar on the beach yeah its on the beach but thats bout it. the waiters forgot silverware almost every time. food was good when it got there on time. took almost an hour and a half for a pizza i ordered by phone 2 hours earlier. and when i checked in the manager of the front desk insisted that she gave me the right change as she shorted me 20$.security was great. well managed and nice to talk to and be around. but almost all the staff besides the cleaning people and the security wer all arogant and inconsistant in what they said. when u see dead end job with some beatneck workin at a hotel this is it. i will save the adress of this place in my laptop like an X girlfriends number. so when i see it pop up i will make sure i do not aknowledge it in any way. if i could rate this a zero i would.
watch out for all the hotel owners friends. they will fallow you and complain about what u wear or ask u creepy questions like "can i come to your room tonight" OR "are u with women". please just look at the other reviews. theres tons of other places im sure you will apreciate.

Excellent
Stayed there in June 2008, Sept. 2008, and have already booked for June 2009. Our first trip, they made a mistake on our room, and quickly upgraded us to a wonderful suite with a beautiful city view without question. The staff at the Tiki bar,...

Awful, awful, awful. Multiple bugs coming out of cabinets in the bathroom. Bed sheets were dirty (I layered up clothing to sleep in them so my skin wouldn't touch). Floor was dirty. It was just gross (and I am not usually picky about where I...

Had to be moved to 3 different rooms, the rooms are really bad. My friend had the penthouse for a night. It was not worth that price at all. The staff was very rude. Did not like having to pay for chairs to use on the beach. As far as their...
43 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
I just returned from a two night stay at the O.M. and although I moderately enjoyed my stay, I thought I would pass along some observations. I checked in at 3pm on the 10th to a less than warm welcome. I do not know the name but I would describe her as 20 something with brown hair. When I returned to the desk to ask a question I stood in front of her for at least 30 seconds before I had to say excuse me to have her look up from the desk, she just gave me a blank stare instead of a question (such as) Can I help you?
I have stayed at Hotels with less to offer than the O.M. and I have had a much more enjoyable time all because of the way the front desk treated me upon arrival! Her attitude made me judge the rest of the hotel and left a sour taste in my mouth. I was also beside myself as I watched the Manger of the restaurant having fits and yelling at her staff! I paid a discounted price for the room on the internet, so I felt I got my money's worth, had I paid full price, I would have checked out after the first night. The room I stayed in was 314, the room was clean and the beds very comfortable, however, there was a sliding plastic shutter in place of a door for the bathroom!!! I thought the web site said completely remodeled to its original glory! I am sure Johnny Carson would not have stayed in a room with out a door to the bathroom. I explained to my children this must be the room Eric Clapton stayed in during the Seventies and trashed the door with his band mates, my children responded with maybe we should throw the television out of the window to finish the job! When the curtains were pulled back from the sliding door to the deck you could see where the painters simply painted around the drapes instead of taking them down and doing a complete job. The outside of the hotel facing the Ocean also looked awful!
The front desk is very slow to pick up the phone I had 2 people call me from outside that said they had to call 3 times and the phone would ring for 8 rings with no answer and when the staff finally answered they were rude and mumbled. The Hotel has so much potential to be a great place but I think you have missed the small details.
I may stay again but I will shop around first. Could have locked in a year round frequent guest!
Sincerely
Howard Gorden
