Had to be moved to 3 different rooms, the rooms are really bad. My friend had the penthouse for a night. It was not worth that price at all. The staff was very rude. Did not like having to pay for chairs to use on the beach. As far as their...
43 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
I just returned from a two night stay at the O.M. and although I moderately enjoyed my stay, I thought I would pass along some observations. I checked in at 3pm on the 10th to a less than warm welcome. I do not know the name but I would describe her as 20 something with brown hair. When I returned to the desk to ask a question I stood in front of her for at least 30 seconds before I had to say excuse me to have her look up from the desk, she just gave me a blank stare instead of a question (such as) Can I help you?
I have stayed at Hotels with less to offer than the O.M. and I have had a much more enjoyable time all because of the way the front desk treated me upon arrival! Her attitude made me judge the rest of the hotel and left a sour taste in my mouth. I was also beside myself as I watched the Manger of the restaurant having fits and yelling at her staff! I paid a discounted price for the room on the internet, so I felt I got my money's worth, had I paid full price, I would have checked out after the first night. The room I stayed in was 314, the room was clean and the beds very comfortable, however, there was a sliding plastic shutter in place of a door for the bathroom!!! I thought the web site said completely remodeled to its original glory! I am sure Johnny Carson would not have stayed in a room with out a door to the bathroom. I explained to my children this must be the room Eric Clapton stayed in during the Seventies and trashed the door with his band mates, my children responded with maybe we should throw the television out of the window to finish the job! When the curtains were pulled back from the sliding door to the deck you could see where the painters simply painted around the drapes instead of taking them down and doing a complete job. The outside of the hotel facing the Ocean also looked awful!
The front desk is very slow to pick up the phone I had 2 people call me from outside that said they had to call 3 times and the phone would ring for 8 rings with no answer and when the staff finally answered they were rude and mumbled. The Hotel has so much potential to be a great place but I think you have missed the small details.
I may stay again but I will shop around first. Could have locked in a year round frequent guest!
Sincerely
Howard Gorden
P.S. Your web site has numerous spelling and grammatical errors I should have realized that attention to detail may be a problem before I made reservations.

So when we made this reservation 2 months prior to our stay, we were told we would have rooms next door to one another. When we arrived, we were told this was not possible and were actually on seperate floors. We had asked for both rooms to have two beds. We entered our room, and saw only one bed. We were told that another bed would be brought in. We waited two hours, and nothing was brought in. We called the front desk, we were told that they could only give us a folding rollaway bed. We told them that was unacceptable. They told us we would have to change rooms if we wanted two beds. We didn't mind, the room they had given us was newly remodeled and attractive. The only downside was the one bed. So, we moved to the new room and it was HORRIBLE. It was in the smoking section, had missing blinds, falling wallpaper, no furniture on the porch. We then went to our friends room in the hotel and it WAS much more attractive (remodeled)...EXCEPT their air conditioning DIDN't work and was leaving a puddle of water on the floor. We asked them to fix it, they said they would and never came to the room to attempt to fix it. They charged us twice for the rooms. Horrible. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!

This has to be the worst hotel in Florida, if not the entire US. Shame on travel website for even listing such a horrible place to stay. The rooms were old, doors, bed, bathrooms, etc. and the entire hotel had a pet smell. At least keep the place...

We stayed in Ocean Manor Resort for 4 days. During that time, we noticed that the building was in great need of repair. There were broken mirrors in the elevator area that was repaired with duct tape, stains on the floors, cracks in the walls, air vents that need to be cleaned, debris piled on rooftops and horrible paint jobs. Also there was a great deal of unsupervised young (meaning well under 25) people there, and they were hosting graduation parties for high school children. It was loud, obnoxious, and there was a fight in the lobby. Everytime we went outside we were stopped and asked if we were guests at the resort. It was really annoying. In the pool area, they were blasting loud music with foul language and suggestive material in full listening range of small children. The drinks at the tiki hut were poorly made and outrageously expensive. The room we were staying in was very small, with poor plumbing, and cracks in the counters and the floors, not to mention the shocking yellow walls, white trim, and green ceilings that made you feel like you were sleeping in a Sprite can. The air conditioning unit was very dusty and sounded like a truck running all night. However, the view was wonderful, and, since the weather was great, we tried to stay out of the room as much as possible. All in all, not one of my better resort experiences. We won't be staying there again.
