49 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for business
The location was great and allowed easy walking access to my conference location. The accommodations were comfortable and the beds were turned down each night. The value for the location in a tourist area was great. There is no restaurant in the hotel, which was inconvenient, as there were also no nearby restaurants for breakfast in the mornings.
I am somewhat likely
to return to the O'Brien Historic Hotel, an Ascend Collection hotel.

55 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
While the room itself was nice and the cleaning staff was great, the folks at the desk were rude and beyond incompetent.
The lobby was shabby with the laundry room door opening right into it, with all the sheets and towels strewn about right in sight. Check in and check out took about 20 minutes per room, as the clerk just stared at the computer screen and tapped her mouse incessantly.
The "continental breakfast" featured no coffee as the machine was broken. The clerk on duty unapologetically told everyone to go their rooms for coffee. The real gross-out was the filthy balcony covered with pigeon poop and dirty ashtrays.
Then, to cap it all off, we were double-charged for our room! Give this one a wide berth.
