The Novotel is conveniently located in the center of the theater district, overlooking Times Square and within walking distance of Central Park, the Empire State Building, the Rockefeller Center and Fifth Avenue shopping. The rooms are all soundproofed here and have spacious bathrooms with European amenities. The restaurant and bar in the hotel both seem fine but there are so many other places to eat nearby that I didn't try them out. The tourist information desk in the hotel is quite useful and the consierge are well informed too. The staff are all welcoming and friendly. A great location with loads of nice deli's and restaurants just outside.

Perfect location for Time Square, Broadway and Central Park. Breakfast was pricy but dinner was afforable...large portions so we shared a dinner. (Starbucks and McDonalds are on the same block so we ate at those places for breakfast) They didn't have a nonsmoking room with 2 DBL beds left, so we did have to switch to a King wih a sleeper sofa. (3 people) They did upgrade our view for this mix up. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, brought us extra towels in minutes, helped with printer issues in business room, suggested places for after Broadway show, etc... (Our waiter from dinner was GREAT)The terrace was the perfect place to relax while killing time before leaving for the airport. We'll go back again soon!

The hotel's location is perfect, but be ready for long lines for check-in, delayed services, and over-booking. This hotel is notorious for bad management

Comfortable hotel, certainly inline with the global Novotel brand. Location is excellent - only a few blocks from Times Square, 5th Ave, and Central Park. Nice bar, cafe, and restaurant located in the hotel. Staff is professional and friendly and the hotel also seems family friendly - though also would be more than fine for couples and business travelers.

Visited New York for the first time in April 2007 with my husband and our friends. Picked the Novotel as we had previously stayed in the Novotel, York, UK. Was not disappointed. The view from the room was fantastic, the rooms were a decent size,...
