I had been wanting to go to Maine for years. So on a whim we finally decided to go north instead of heading for the sun and surf - certainly no mistake. Flew to Boston then drove from there to Camden and Bar harbor.

We stayed in seven different hotels and B&B's in Boston and Maine. October 2002, had great fall weather and found the Norumbega Castle/B&B.
We still reflect on that wonderful stay. The view, the wine, food and service all first class, yet casual. It’s like a brief walk in the past. The woodwork interior inspired from boat craftsmen of the 1800's made our journey complete.

This wonderful castle offers lovely accommodations, is within walking distance to town and has a great staff. The persolized service and attention to detail makes a guest feel right at home.
