Staff at Northcross Suites were fantastic, especially the front desk clerk, Evie. We had a large group and a lot of changes, but she was able to handle them. The Suites are a little old, but they were still nice. The breakfast was fantastic, good

This is an old apartment complex now used as 'hotel'. If you are traveling with children or a group of friends and just need a low-priced place with room to spread out in, and a kitchen, this is reasonable for the rate. Grounds and units were at lea

This is a roomy, clean hotel. It costs a lot to stay in Austin, but this place is more like an apartment and the rates are lower than any decent hotel just about anywhere. My running partner and i stay here every year for the Austin Marathon. The first year there were four of us in a two bedroom suite that had three beds, a sofa bed, a full kitchen and two baths, all for about $100 a night. That is equivalent to two hotel rooms in a conventional hotel, which would simply not be available at that price!! Unbelievable. We love it because it is RIGHT on the route for the marathon too. The front desk folks are below average in their service, but we are low maintenance, so once we got checked in it was smooth sailing!
pros: Location, room size, breakfast, comfort. While my room was not perfect, I was very much pleased with the hotel. I was in Austin for 6 days for some medical tests. Because the "room" consisted of a bedroom, living room, kitchen with eating...
Having a bedroom, living room, and kitchenette was great for a week's stay. Didn't get that cramped feeling. Cost included a daily full breakfast (eggs, sausage/bacon, pancakes, etc!).
No, the place isn't brand new. But it was clean and roomy. Loved it. Would go back if I ever was in Austin again.

Expected Doubletree, Radisson, Holiday Inn or equivalent, as an online travel website sold us a 3-star room for the weekend. This was nothing like any of them.
Room in poor condition. Worse than the cheapest motels. Tile in bathroom damaged with 3-foot-long cracks in the grout. You could see into the wall from the shower. Headboard of one of the beds unbolted from the wall and hanging off. Housekeeping came while we were out to lean it against the wall again. Old beds, lumpy mattresses, paper-thin towels. Truly pathetic.
This wasn't even a hotel. It was an efficiency apartment complex they were selling as "hotel suites". It looked more like a low-end dorm room damaged after the frat party ended. Seriously pathetic, old and again, not a hotel at all.
Everything was old including the early 80's vintage VHS player. Possibly the largest VCR I've ever seen. Welcome back to the 20th century.
This was my first and most likely my last online travel website experience. My wife and I feel like we were cheated and duped into pre-paying for a room that was astoundingly far below the 3-star rating that was promised online. The entire experience was extremely disappointing as was our stay at Northcross Suites. Our advice is to save some money and upgrade to a Motel 6.
