The hotel was very family-oriented! It was wonderful for our family. The pools were great and the kids eat free; it was very cost-effective. The security was awesome, we all felt very safe. The hotel staff went out of their way to make our stay spec

If you have children, you must stay here. Nickelodeon's joint venture with Holiday Inn to create a mega-hotel for Nickelodeon fans, explodes with fun, decorative rooms and in-room gaming systems, a kid's shopping mall, a kid's spa (hair braids, nails, etc.) and the coolest pool ever seen.
The sad fact is that if you book this room during a Disney vacation, don't expect your children to want to leave the hotel and go to Disney...or anywhere else for that matter. They will be enamored with all the special details in place just for them!
We enjoyed a Nick-character breakfast with a buffet so huge I can't even begin to tell you what all we ate. The staff was super-friendly and gracious, even though you know they are exhausted from dealing with so many children. This is not a place you would enjoy if you are not traveling with children, by the way. The rooms are specifically designed by themes with colorful murals, and amenities geared toward the young 'uns! You could book this hotel as your vacation.

Good
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Family Suites in April, 2004. We have stayed at several Disney and Downtown Disney hotels in the past, and would definitely opt for Holiday Inn over the Disney All Star Resorts.

After reading the other reviews I felt that I had to add a review. This hotel is really unique and I would go back in a minute. One reviewer did write that the food at the breakfast buffet was not hot and that the rooms were run down. I have to...

Excellent
This is a unique Holiday Inn, in that it's still the only one of it's type. I believe there's one other in the works, but I'm not sure. It caters to families with it's multiple suite configurations, but it will work for business travellers also...

Hotel was PACKED, kids everywhere. They offered rather lame nighttime activities (geared more toward older children, not my 4 and 2 yr old), but a great kiddie train ride around the hotel. I'm not really sure what the hours were for the train ride...
