This hotel made me feel excited: I stayed at the New York Helmsley hotel with my family. It was terrific and will stay there again.

Staff was very friendly and pleasant. Fun, youthful atmosphere. Housekeeping was great. America restaurant is a disaster with 45 minute wait for food. Room service took 1 hour just for coffee.

Very disappointed with service, attention to detail as well as the hotel's response to requests and report of problems. Just getting the requested number of towels was an ordeal that took multiple calls to a front desk that sometimes took minutes to answer.

For the price I paid, my expectations were not met. All was paying for was the location of the hotel on the Las Vegas strip.

New York, New York was a great experience (except the first night when we had to stay in a smoking room -even the pillows smelled like a barroom). The hotel and staff treated us with respect and we were never left wanting.
