I've read some reviews about this place and was very suprised by the negative comments left. I think the confusion rests in the fact that there are many places in Asia called Majestic Hotel.
This hotel was a small step up from backpacker hotels I stayed in around SE asia. Many of the patrons were working bar girls and customers. One of the cheapest places you will find, but really for a backpacker type of traveler.
