64 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure
We have been traveling to Santiago Chile at least once a year for the last 8 years. We have stayed at the hotel Neruda several times, as its location is great. However, this time, our experience was awful. Upon arrival they gave us a room fit for only one person when the confirmation was for a double room for 2 people. The air condition did not work, front desk employees were not helpful at all, breakfast a disaster, we had to set our own table, they did not have clean table covers, so they would just turn them upside down, buffet breakfast was poor, friends who tried to reach us complained that they did not answer the phone. The hotel used to have doormen, not any more only one bellboy which means you need to wait and wait for your luggage to be brought to the room. Rooms are large but need a little more cleaning. The drapes has so much dust like they had not been cleaned for a couple of years. Unfortunately, November is a high occupancy month so we had no choice but to stay there for the 4 nights we had it booked. We are already looking where we will stay next year as we are not coming back the the hotel Neruda
