The Neahtawanta Inn (Nee-ah-ta-wan-ta) is located on Old Mission Peninsula, a 22 mile long finger of land that divides Grand Traverse Bay into East and West Bay, with over 300 feet of beach front on Bowers Harbor. Cherry orchards and wineries dominate the landscape; the seven wineries are open for touring and tasting. The Lighthouse is now open to the public at Old Mission Point Park. The park also has many nice trails.
The Neahtawanta Inn provides both solitude and interaction depending upon your needs. The Inn is used by individuals and groups for a variety of reasons: as a quiet respite from busy lives; for family reunions, small group retreats, honeymoons and anniversaries; or for vacationers coming to enjoy the Grand Traverse area. Surrounded by woods and water, the Inn offers peace and comfort for those who need to rest and rejuvenate. The large living/dining room with a sunken fieldstone firepit, and library with many books and periodicals are available for our guests. Healthy vegetarian breakfasts are served with many local ingredients. In 1996 a wheelchair accessible room was added, along with a second floor yoga studio.
