Good
29 year old with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

We got into town late & checked out & rejected a few roach motels before finding the Nautilus. Although we wanted a room with a king sized bed all they had available was 2 double beds with the promise of an upgrade the following day so we were fine with that, we would've snuggled just as close in a king sized bed anyway. That room had a view of the beach, a balcony & a kitchenette with a leeky dorm-sized fridge or something because the floor under the carpet was wet over there.

Next day we moved on up to the room with the king sized bed, a better beachfront balcony view & a bigger kitchenette with apartment sized fridge! The water pressure in the shower was surprisingly better than most although it could have had better lighting in the bathroom - flourescent lighting does not lend itself well to applying make-up & I was in town to attend a wedding! There was an area with another sink outside the bathroom that worked fine & it was nice to have a room with 3 sinks. The whole hotel was very clean & non-smoking, the pool was nice & the beach was right there!

The staff was very warm & friendly & made us feel very at home, infact we met several people there on extended stays (2 weeks, 17 days, etc) who'd been coming to the Nautilus for years & considered it their home away from home! With it's reasonable rates, beachfront living & kitchenettes that allow you to save on dining out every single meal, I can see why. That said, it could use some minor rennovations & updated decor - also kind of like home!

All in all, it was not the luxury accomodations of my dreams but our original plans were to stay at The Shores Resort & Spa from Thursday to Sunday & head back home. Due to some complications along the way & poor pre-planning on our part we wound up getting into town very late Friday night finding everything booked & having the Nautilus as our only realistic option...which worked out perfectly afterall. So well, infact, that we stayed 4 extra days, checking out on Wednesday & we would have stayed longer but they were fully booked so we had to check out.
