I chose the bed and breakfast because of the reviews I have been reading. I wanted to surprise my wife with a vacation to Nantucket. She's been wanting to vacation on the island and this year we were able to make it. I mainly booked because the staff was very helpful, courteous and knowledgeable about the island. Well, our expectations were high when we arrived and I can say they were all met. We're history buffs, so we prefer historic b and b's instead of hotels. We had the Partridge Berry room, with a king size comfortable bed. Our first choice Black Orchid with the private porch was not available. Instead we spent a lot of time out on the patio area. One night we were fogged in so we decided to stay in and watch movies from their movie collection. I felt like a teenager again.
All in all this was a great trip for us. And I made my wife happy. We will be back more often.

Okay
The Nantucket Inn and Conference center is a great hotel it is clean and has good service. It is near the airport but it is not very close to downtown, although they do have a shuttle service for whenever you want it.
33 year old female with a luxury budget, traveling for business
I stayed at the Nantucket Inn for a conference this Sept. It was convenient for the conference, but not really close to anything else (except the airport). My husband tried to eat the breakfast advertised as an amenity with "every guest rate" and was charged $17! When I asked the manager about the charge, he told me that I was just a conference attendee, not a guest and breakfast was not included. He also told me that as the most inexpensive inn (not really, we pain over $200 a night) on the island, we should not expect a great level of service. This attitude was expressed in front of staff, also agreeing that we should not expect a high level of service as the leader of the group suggested. He was inflammatory with me and other guests in the lobby felt the need to intervene and express their opinions of poor service, unclean rooms, etc. Overall, I would not return or recommend.
