We are spontaneous travelers, and it is Memorial Day weekend and arriving as walk-ins [a suggestion from the wonderful and happy to meet but, sorry we are booked, staff at the Hilton 13 miles north], it was a surprise that there were still rooms left. Expecting to sleep in our car this late in evening, after a long drive we were ok with an Ocean View rather than a Parking lot view.

240 USD for one night beach view here is not a deal.

The room was tiny with a hard to open sliding glass door. The bathroom was tiny also, with its door approximately swinging two inches in front of the commode. The shower head was reminiscent of the condemned barracks at Ft. Bragg, (yes, I am a vet and have been there, its part of the training for days like this).

With the lights out in the room, the corridor lights shown trough the door bottom and side jams, I wanted extra black out curtains just for the door. At 2:15am is when the fun started until 3:30 with our adolescent, inebriated neighbors. There were others that were noisy also you could hear the voices from the reception desk. Etc….

Oh yeah and you would think you would get a breakfast also, not so, vending machines and a microwave. Free coffee! WOW! I tried to use up and drink 240 USD worth of Styrofoam cups and coffee just to make it worth the money spent.

Your truly and awake for the long drive home.

Overall this hotel was nice, however I felt that it was horribly overpriced. It had all of the necessary amenities for but for the price I paid I would have expected a lot more.
