37 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure

My wife, and friends just finished up a seven-night stay in Mt. Baker Lodging's Condo 35. We absolutely loved this unit!

We have stayed with the folks at Mt. Baker Lodging for the past 10-years and are always very impressed with the cleanliness of their self-catered accommodations. Upon reading the last comment, it appears that that guest didn't take the time to read about what they were renting beforehand!

The website tells you about what's included, and what's not, but you have to read! We would highly recommend Mt. Baker Lodging to anyone visiting the Mt. Baker area. Till next year!

The unit (#61 at Snowater) was nice, it was $149 a night for a unit with a fireplace. However, it certainly would have been nice to know ahead of time that the fireplace we paid $40 extra for was "BYOW" - Bring Your Own Wood (and matches).

By the time we settled in for the night, we saw the sign by the fireplace that they would not provide wood or matches, and that we would have to go to the local store to purchase wood. There was no housekeeping provided, either, which meant much "vacation" time was spent cleaning (washing the bedding, towels, doing dishes, cleaning floors, taking trash to dumpster) as there were nagging messages written all over the unit threatening to fine us if we didn't do all of the cleaning. Funny, there was not one "welcome" or "enjoy your stay" message.

Check-in would be more convenient if they would leave a key in a lockbox at the unit (as many other privately owned condos do), rather than driving an additional 30+ minutes round trip to another building to check in.

The general experience with these people was negative, and they never replied to a letter about our experience.

We received a gift certificate from a family member for a stay at this B&B while we snowboarded at Mt Baker.

Neither my boyfriend nor I have ever encountered people more rude than their staff. They were completely insulting over the phone. They were completely unaccommodating about our schedule to stay, and had no interest in making arrangements to help us.

Unfortunately, because it was a certificate, we got the distinct feeling that since they had already been paid, there was no real reason to care about our business. We will never stay there, and will be sure to tell everyone we know that is heading up to Baker not to stay there.

52 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

My wife and our friends just completed a 7-night stay in Mt. Baker Lodging's Cabin #86. This new 2-bedroom, 2-bath, hot tub equipped vacation home was exceptional in every way.

From check-in to check-out, everything was handled very professionally! The cabin was sparkling clean, very well maintained, and thoughtfully prepared. The gas fireplace was even turned-up (nice and toasty) and the outside lights were turned on in anticipation of our late arrival. It was first class all the way! We would highly recommend Mt. Baker Lodging and their Cabin #86 to anyone visiting the Mount Baker area.

38 year old male with a luxury budget, traveling for leisure

My wife, Shaunna, and friends Ed and Kayley just completed a 7-night stay in Mt. Baker Lodging's Cabin #27. This great "cabin-in-the-woods" was more than we expected. The location was excellent. The cabin itself was very roomy, exceptionally clean and well maintained. This is one of their lower priced cabins, so we weren't expecting the Taj Mahal, but were very pleasantly surprised with the extras, including an outdoor gas grill! We will definitely be back, and highly recommend Mt. Baker Lodging to anyone visiting the Mount Baker Area. Robert & Shaunna Frederickson - Olympia, WA

I am very likely to return to the Mt Baker Lodging.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.
