This Motel 6 has recently completed its renovation as part of our plan to upgrade all our locations throughout the U.S. and Canada. The Pismo Beach Motel 6 is located in the Clam Capital of the Central Coast! This location is just 2 miles from Oceano Dunes State Recreation Area, the Pismo Beach Pier, the beach and many restaurants. The room manager was very friendly and gave us the senior discount. The room was OK for a older establishment.
The motel was totally full and we didn't have any trouble with noise from the outside or from the room next door. Everyone that we came in contact with was very respectful and friendly. The interior of the room was clean and in good shape. The bed was a firmer type but I still slept fairly well.
For the price, we would stay there again and again.

Had a terrible experience with this hotel. The manager was very rude and one of the night clerks wasn't friendly at all. The pool was very small. The maid's don't do a good job cleaning, and can hardly understand any English. The so...
I had a terrible experience with this hotel. The manager was very rude and one of the night clerks wasn't friendly at all.
The pool was very small, and the beds were too short and lumpy. The maids don't do a good job cleaning. The so called credit card type keys they have for their patrons usually don't work because they always seem to change the codes on them, meaning you have to go back to the lobby and have it reactivate again.
During the holidays, there were quite a few young, hip-hop type parties staying there, making noise and such. Most likely since they had a room and didn't have to drive, they figured they could get drunk or whatever. I don't mind that, but they were loud.
Speaking of noise, 4th street is a very busy street. It's how you can get from Pismo Beach into Grover Beach. It's also the route that many emergency departments take to get into Grover Beach, such as Police and Fire, so they are always wailing their sirens. You'd think Motel 6 would be a good choice because of the rates, but if you just look around the area, you can find other hotels for about the same, and you wouldn't have to deal with all the problems this motel has.

There were no towels, even though this is a beach town. The toilet overflowed and we had to stop it and clean up the mess, the night clerk was too busy. Don't go there, it might be cheap, but it's not worth it!
