OMG!! This place is disgusting and very horrible, as soon as I walked in the housekeeping lady kept eying me like I was up to something, when asked her a simple question she responded sarcastically. When I registered for a room, no one ounce of courtesy or kindness. But wait it gets better, the outside door doesn't even require a key-card, so much for security, then all of the cleaning people look decrepit and are very sketchy looking. But the worst came when I opened my room, and found it dirty and I mean filthy with beer bottles and stuff all over the floor, unmade bed, and a horrible smell. I walked out and went to the front desk, asked for my money back and they asked me why and told them in a polite quiet manner (I'm really shy) what was wrong and they offered me another room, I responded no and they didn't apologize or anything, just made me sign a refund paper and ignored me. SO I"M WARNING YOU, DO NOT, AND I HIGHLY EMPHASIZE THE WORD, DON'T STAY HERE!! Try the Extended StayAmerica on 29th (just a little south of the Motel 6), its just 20 bucks more but you get soooo much and its super clean and nice...

Good: The hotel is close to the airport and is very cheap.
Bad: The room is very small and doesn't look very clean, no internet even available, front desk wanted to charge a different amount than that booked online.
To get there we drove through a scary ghetto. When we got to the parking lot of the motel, there were HUGE potholes at the entrance and there were police cars and the police were in the lobby talking to the employees. We got checked in and went to...
Paid $33 a night for a room(before taxes) so I didn't expect much. Room was small but, ok for one person. No tub, just a small shower stall. Tv and remote worked but no clock-radio, good thing I brought my own radio. No internet access or data...

The location was fine. The room was the smallest room I have ever had in all my stays at Motel 6 motels. Although it was non smoking, it smelt faintly of smoke. The staff was great!
I am very likely
to return to the Motel 6 Grand Rapids East - Airport.
I would definitely recommend it to friends.

It is a great value if you just need a place to sleep, watch TV and get ready for wherever you are going. I do not vacation to sit around in an expensive hotel room and Motel 6 offers just what I need. When I stayed in Grand Rapids there was an issue. I did not like that it appeared some people seemed to live there. There were people partying all over the place and whoever was in the room above us was stomping and jumping. We complained to the staff and actually, they kicked them out immediately from what I could tell. The staff acted quickly which was nice for a change.
