54 year old male with a moderate budget, traveling for leisure
A Tired Traveler's Nightmare. We've stayed in Motel 6 places before and had no complaints, but the one in Cour d' Alene, Idaho was most disappointing. The sink plunger broke as we were preparing for bed, and we couldn't open it after brushing teeth, etc. Too late to call the desk. Next morning the toilet broke and wouldn't flush! Yuck! Our feet were black on the bottom after walking on the bathroom floor and carpet in the room. Again yuck! When we reported these things to the desk clerk, she said there was no refund because we should have called earlier. That was a bit difficult. What plumber wants to come to a hotel at 3 a.m. and who wants to stay up the rest of the night watching him fix the sink and still pay for a night's sleep in the room? And the place SHOULD be clean before any guest arrives! Never again! The bed was comfortable though. Hope the sheets were clean.
